This has to be one of my favorite pieces I've ever written. I improvised a piece on the piano, which I then processed through various means. Over it, I layered edited whale songs. The bell- quality of the piano and the ethereal quality of the whale song creates an cold icy environment, floating on darkness below.

I've been on a bit of a sci-fi/horror kick lately. This piece focuses a little bit more on the orchestration between different synthesizers, which is something I'm not especially good at yet : ) Enjoy!

This piece is partially inspired by the game Subnautica (which you should play if you haven't already), and the alien ion cubes. A strange otherworldly power source, one that flows with an eerie green energy.
