Would the rack work with a 1500?
I have a 2021 f250 gas ?? Would it work
I actually did this and it does work. I will say this, buddy has the speed roof and it actually does work better.
Not for me. Thanks
If you own a 40k dollar ATV why not buy a 1500 dollar trailer?
Hi, thank you for your interest in our video. We haul the SxS on the rack because we pull our travel trailer behind us.
@@semoryan9645 makes sense
Expensive little toys like that, disprove the misinformation that the Economy is bad.
This is the set up to get when you don’t value life
People can afford to drop 20k for this thing but not buy a trailer.. yea that makes sense.
Makes perfect sense if you're hoping to hook up to a trailer.
Could be very hard on the clutches.
That's pretty cool. Hate to think how much they charge you for that. Couple of suggestions. 1. Apply parking brake prior to loading. 2. Get a 5K winch and pull it up onto the rack. I looked into one of these, but the price was too obscene. I built my own out of wood. All told I spent about 750.00 on everything. Traveled coast to coast, works like a champ, and the high gloss boat varnish is the cherry on the top. I carry a Can-Am Maverick on the truck and one in the toy hauler.
For the price you can just buy a trailer and you want lose your bed. Not to mention what do you do if/when you break out on a ride? You sure aren't getting it back up there. This just seems like a solution to a non existent problem
most folks need something like this if they're pulling a camper. Mine won't fit inside a toy hauler so I will be pulling a camper.
I would haul the small trailer and side by side and my wife hauled the trailer. We downsized the trailer, sold one truck and got a Marlon Truck rack and now we go as a family again. Why don’t I get a bigger truck and a toy hauler. Because we wanted to go lighter not heavier. 2000 lb camper is a breeze for my SRW 3500 plus an 8500 lb trailer that my other family members can borrow. If I get a 16000 lb toy hauler and the truck to pull it then I’m Down more $.
Next time just use gas. Gas won't hurt the paint. Lacquer thinner is stronger but it takes paint off.
Have you had to load it like that after you break an axle-shaft? Not gonna happen!
Why don’t you just buy a trailer ?
I have the same setup, its so they can tow a camper and still take the SXS. The size toy hauler you need to have is dumb in order to fit one of these in there.
Can you describe pond layer where to purchase it.
www.amazon.com/dp/B004DL0Y4Y/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_i_78HP8B2SN1SZGS6SY16F?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1 This is a link to the one we used.
soooo dumb, a ticket getter because of top weight for that truck.well drive it down.. and i love to see u tying it down.lol a joke setup.Get a trailer
Nope, mine is well within payload limits for a 3/4 ton. I have Toyup deck to carry my Pioneer 500 and the truck is stable at highway speeds on mountain roads. You can't tow a travel trailer and a ATV trailer easily.
What is it like to drive on the highway?
It's not bad at all. Just make sure you have the SxS centered side to side. It's like hauling anything else, make sure you give yourself plenty of time to stop, ect...
I love my XTR 1000 graphics
I would never do that that pickup truck look top-heavy
Is that a three-quarter ton pickup truck
lmfao you could have just bought a trailer to haul your rig ! i bet you paid more for that ramp and set up than what a trailer would have cost!
Wanna bet? Along with the initial investment, you still have to pay for insurance and registration. The rack is a one time purchase.
Sketchy as fuck..
What
It's your windshield. Robbie sells a roof with positive flow its suppose to stop the dust from being sucked back in. I just ordered one we will see how it works
How does the roof work?
@@semoadventures1962 To be honest I really couldn't tell the difference. I think the rear windshield did the most to stop the dust from being be sucked back . I think the front windshield along with the rear and the positive flow roof all work together and cut down about 75 % of dust in the cab.
@@semoadventures1962 I forgot to mention the front windshield has to be vented at the bottom it has a 3inch door that you open when that door is closed you get more dust
fuck that! any moisture and you'll be on ur lid
Nope...been there done that. Put anti-skid tape on mine.
It's obvious you don't know how to drive 😂😂😂
Parking brake not set on the truck?
What kind of ramps did the rack come with? They look like titan brand ones or are they making their own ramps?
We make them
Does your truck have an e brake? Probably don’t need it.
How are you liking the setup? I’m thinking of switching to a F450 and using one of these to trade off my toy hauler to a regular travel trailer. I have an X3 Max and would probably just use a winch as opposed to drive it on. Thanks for posting the video, I just shake my head with some of the comments. Hope you just ignore them.
We love the setup. After loading it a few times it is a lot less sketchy.
Have you made the switch?
@@markgreene3515 I ordered a new 450 a month ago. I will be switching when it gets delivered.
Next time put the rear axle of your truck Where your driveway meets the rd Ect won’t be as steep
Wayyyy top heavy, plus if you need a truck for work, you can't. If you got this rig because you need to tow a travel trailer, I would get a toy hauler instead. But that's me....
It's not as top heavy as one would think. The weight of the Can Am X3 max is roughly 2,000lbs. As with most SXS's, the engine is mounted in the rear so most of the weight is isolated to just above the rear portion of the truck bed. It should also be noted the wind resistance the sxs offers is minimal as it is open cockpit with mainly roll cages and half doors. If you know anything about truck bed campers, they can and do weigh 3,000lbs + and they are a huge box ripe for wind resistance. Truck campers have been out for decades with minimal to no issue so the sxs rack should prove to be less top heavy. Secondly, for those who already own a travel trailer or want a travel trailer over a toy hauler layout, this rack is the answer to taking your toys with you. Lastly, the rack is completely removeable and can be done within minutes. Note: I'm not a salesman of any sxs racks but I know enough to opine on the matter.
I looked at toy haulers and they don't suit my needs in a trailer. I prefer a deck on the truck for my UTV and have a bumper pull trailer. You also need a way to transport an UTV/ATV to a trailhead because they are not street legal.
Just a suggestion maybe you are already but from this video I can tell you just have your pickup in park. You really need to use your parking brake it would stop the back and forth lunge of the pickup and save your transmission. That back and forth lunging is extremely hard on your tranny and can destroy it. No hate, just some friendly advice, nice setup.
We both like and listen to friendly advice. Thank you. We've learned so much from reading nice comments like yours. The park brake is now set EVERY time we load and unload. We also load down the driveway now and have replaced the ramps with the proper ones. Thanks again for the positive feedback.
You paid what 3k for that? I rather have a trailer and use it for other purposes too or a toy hauler but to each their own
The whole point is now you can put a trailer as well if need be
I’ll stick with a trailer
Highly doubt this is her first load.
Load down hill...geez
That was our first time doing it. We have gotten a lot more comfortable with it. Definitely better with truck facing down hill.
@@semoadventures1962 Or have a high spot to place the ramps.
Hey bro....cool vid👌 Wher i can order spare parts for the xtr 1000? Thanka
We have had good luck with Sidebyside parts.com
Mine used to do that too I ended up taking the half windshield out And no dust circulation. Very little dust.
I live in Nevada also and had the same issue with my wildcat Long story short I took the half windshield out Eliminated all the dust issues. As long as you don't mind a little wind in the face.
2 1/2 minutes to get it out of the garage????
What about a flat ramp trailer? This thing looks dangerous to load and to transport. Is it legal?
It is legal and not dangerous if you know how to drive.
I have a Toyup deck for my Pioneer 500. It is very similar to this deck and it is kind of spooky loading but easy to do. It is legal.
How much from ramptek?The deck.
$2500. We don't have a toy hauler.
Those ramps look sketchy AF. Waaaaaaay too much flex. I’ll pass.
We had the wrong ramps. Ramptek overnight shipped much heavier ramps.
can you tell me how long your ramps are for this to get there10ft?
Yes 10 foot ramps. They fold up and store under the deck.
What about the dust in the air?
This minimizes the amount of dust being pulled in from the gaps between the body and frame. We got a huge decrease in the amount of dust in the cab.
Justice Only 1 second ago Hi, Very grateful for you. Do you recommend this vehicle as I'm considering one to buy?
Absolutely 💯! We love the machine. We ride with a group of friends who drive a variety of machines, (Rzr / CanAm) and have gone everywhere they go. We've taken it out in the desert and the mountains with NO problems.

How did this work? I'm looking for solutions. I have already taped off the holes under the seat but there is still holes.
It has worked really well. I would say it stopped most of our dust problems. Anouther thing we did was to buy some cheap plastic floor mats to throw down. They stop the vacuum effect but still allow water to drain when you rinse out the inside

Nope, Nope ,Nope.
Nailed it! How does it drive on the highway?
A little bit of side to side sway when going through gutters and dips . After a few minutes you don't even notice it up there. Didn't change fuel mileage on the Duramax.
@@semoadventures1962 Towing, or load weight usually makes minimal changes in fuel economy on Diesel Trucks, its quite literally what they're built for. Ya'll have fun with that machine. Make sure to strap it down tight up top though.
I want to see how you strap it down
Next time we load it up we will show how the tie down works. Probably late January early February.
The most stupidest thing I've ever seen... Break a belt, no spare belt. How you get it up, break an axle or just break sxs . How you get it up... dude. Just get a trailer. They do sell trailers for golf carts...get rid of your travel trailer and do it right.. get a toy hauler.
Was thinking the same
Ever heard of a winch? You can easily pull yourself up. Why take a loss on a travel trailer you already purchased, just to accommodate a toy? A lot of people haul this way. Before our toy hauler, we hauled our 4 seat Yamaha Wolverine in the bed of the truck, while pulling a pop up.
I'm going to pick one up tomorrow because I have a 32' travel trailer a toy hauler that can fit some of these machines just isn't feasible and to put a muddy dirty machine in the back of a toy hauler is not going to happen. Some places don't have a wash area.
A toy hauler is meant to carry motorcycles not ATV's that weigh 1000 pounds plus. They don't have the cargo capacity to carry your gear too. Impractical because you still have to get the machine to a trailhead because they are NOT street legal. Some of the roads to get to a trailhead are impossible to travel with a toy hauler or travel trailer.
Everyone thinks they know everything. In my case My SXS wont' fit in a toy hauler. Do you really think someone is going to spend that money on one of these if they really didn't need it. Yes. We have heard of trailers....smh
