I was there as a wide-eyed 18 year old Kiwi on my OE and have loved them ever since. In two days I’m going to see them again for the second time in Auckland, New Zealand as a 51 year old.

This takes me right back to seeing them in Portland during a much, much finer musical age. Such an amazing song. Thank you!

this band was so great, i got to drive them around one or two of them in my junky cab in oakland in mid 80s... i hung out in their studio in w oakland. i was so lucky. they gave me a tape. I met John D. I miss them. they were regular people to me. everything is changed now

This was my favorite as a "kid". I wrote a handwritten letter to the band. I got back a letter from the band....that doesnt happen much anymore.

I remember the first time that I got to hear Flipper live. They played in Philadelphia at "The East Side Club". I was stunned. So heavy. Intense. That drumming and those bass lines, and the wall of sound guitar. Heavier than Black Sabbath. I'll bet they'd have blown some Black Sabbath fans minds if they'd toured with them. They're still one of my favorite bands.

I bought this album while working at a record store. i was so blown away, i sent an actual letter to the band. they responded and i got a hand written letter back. 20 years plus later...i am still a huge fan
