Magicshine SEEME 50 MAG & SEEME 50 V2.0 Taillight Product Testing and Review
Connectivity these days is almost mandatory for all devices. We want devices to be smart in hopes that they will simplify some aspect of what we are doing. Magicshine is leading the charge and bringing two new taillights with plenty of smart features that increases safety/visibility and makes them easier to use.
Both the Magicshine SEEME 50 MAG and the Magicshine SEEME 50 V2.0 Smart Taillight can be purchased individually or the SEEME 50 V2.0 can be purchased in a combo along with the Allty 1200U that I have already reviewed.
It is important that I mention the Allty 1200U underneath mount bike-light because part of the connectivity includes using it in combination with these two Magicshine SEEME 50 taillights. Below, I will talk about their connectivity, and it can be seen in the video review below or in the write up of the Allty 1200U.

Kayaking Down the Elk River - Labor Day Weekend 2024 - Tennessee
Переглядів 85Місяць тому
Nice little Labor Day trip down the Elk River. For this trip, we used Elk River Canoe Rental for our kayaking equipment. They also shuttles us to the launching spot and they picked us up at the end of the trip and took us back to the base. It was a great trip with really great weather. Though it was partly cloudy, my legs and arms got quite burnt. I should have used some sun screen. Elk River C...

The Rhino Urban Helmet comes in various colors and sizes. The helmet has an integrated taillight so you don't have to worry about not have a taillight on you. The helmet is very affordable and has been certified by testing agencies. One thing that is lacking on this helmet is MIPS which is a bit unfortunate. Use my code Jay15 for a discount. This is the third race in the HAMR race series. I placed 2nd in my age category 19-39 and 4th overall not including e-bikes. I had it pinned pretty much the whole race. My average heart rate was 183 bpm and my max was 191 bpm. There were a few spots (on the downhills) that I was able to bring it down and take a break (173 bpm). My normalized power was 247 watts with a max of 1218 watts. There a...

Why am I looking at an ass the whole time
That looks like so much fun and it was. Thank you for a great time sweetie and Jay. Great video
Thanks for joining.
What hubs are you running ?
@sita7688 I am running Paul hubs front and rear. I have the disk Fhub 28 hole with bolt on axle. On the rear it is the High Flange flip-flop fixed/free 28 hole bolt on axle. Both in black. The front hub allows for a disk to be mounted but u haven’t added a brake to the bike and not sure if I will.
I'm making a gravel fixie from a throne phantom 🎉
Nice! What size tires can you fit one it? Currently I’m running 38s which is pretty decent for what I’m using this bike for. But mine will fit up to a 43.
Thanks for the review. Always informative and honest
Thanks for watching!
They look awesome and comfy
I can’t find
Do you have the latest firmware? Are you using the edge 840?
Hi J! Great video!
Awww ☺️ thank you.
Where's Dito?
That is what everyone wants to know.
Cant find it in my 840 edge
Do you have the latest firmware installed?
Nice im from Huntsville too and have been looking at getting these bars
How do you like them
They are good. I like them better than using a steer tube extender or flipping the stem upwards. I think I would prefer a little bit skinner version. They are really comfortable with the cruise control grips on them. See my full review on them at www.gravelcyclist.com/bicycle-tech/redshift-sports-top-shelf-handlebar-review-by-jason-lopez/
But how are they at reducing wind turbulence over your ears? For around $30 I’ve been using Windfree ear covers. They look like over the ear headphones but stop wind noise by preventing turbulence in and over your ears. I can use any earbud with my Windfree covers and do so with the volume set very low which allows me to hear my surroundings even better.
That looks interesting. I have not see that product before. I rode with a single ear bud for years, but personally I prefer an open ear system. Also, from what I have seen it is ilegal to use ear buds while cycling is various states and counties. (But is it really being enforced? 🤷🏻♂️) In fast riding or windy situations there will be wind turbulence noise which makes it harder to hear but for a majority situations it isn’t really a problem. Also I see no reason why the windfree covers couldn’t be used with these, but I’m not sure how it would perform. The good thing about these is the communication feature that allows you to connect with a group. Also these have dual mics that block out the wind noise to give clear feedback when talking to someone. Thanks for watching!
I bought a pair of the Aleck punks about two months ago. They worked well for a few weeks. Since about 4 weeks ago the right punk is not working anymore in the sense that no sound (music) is coming out of the right punk. I did several times a factory reset (at full battery) as indicated the Aleck support website. Did not made a change. I wrote an e-mail to the Aleck support team. They were unable to give me any advice which was helpful. I am now stuck with only the left punk working. I wrote back an e-mail asking to replace or reimburse me. Now 48 hrs later, no one is responding anymore. Extremely disappointed with this after sale support level. These punks are not cheap and I would expect another level of support if Aleck claims quality material.
Sorry to hear about that. Hopefully they reach out to you soon and make it right. Maybe wait a few days to see if they reach out. If not contact them again. I haven’t had any issues with mine.
This is happening to me now
Awesome video time warp Champaign Illinois
Thanks for watching! Thank you
So much good riding in the area.
We ride a lot the same trails
Are you in Huntsville, AL?
I am!!
Thanks for watching. The riding up here has been great. I’ve been in the area for about little over 2 years
Have you ridden in Priceville or Wheeler yet?
I have ridden both priceville and wheeler. I was just out at Bankhead this weekend. Got in about 45 miles there on Sunday.
Wow, these are exceptional. Thanks for the unbiased review. I like those
Thank you for watching!
It’s ok with only two mounts on the fork?
It is. The capacity is slightly reduced compared to using 3 bolts like on the Diverge STR or canyon. Interestingly though the STR and regular diverge forks have the same weight capacity. 2 bolts the capacity is 3kg (6.6 lb) 3 bolts is 4.5 kg (9.9 lb) per bag. The fork is rated for 6 kg total (13.2 lb). So on the specialized fork the limiting capacity is the fork and not the mount. My full review will be on gravelcyclist.com soon. I cover this in the review but good catch for noticing that. One thing though you have to use the top two holes of the mount if only using two bolts.

@@jaylocycling thank you! :)
Can’t find any thing like this in my IQ app. Where is it ? What’s the name of? Thanks
It’s not in the IQ app. It’s in the data screens of the Garmin. Got to activity profile > select the profile to add it to > add screen > choose music controls.
@@jaylocycling thanks for answering. I can’t find it in mine. I own a 830 model and I think this doesn’t handle that function. 👍
Yeah, unfortunately it looks like it’s not available on the Edge 830. Thanks for watching.
Especially for the price, this is a really nice helmet! Thanks for your straightforward review.
Yes, really hard to beat the price and it comes with mips. Thank you for watching.
Looks fun
Thank you. Yup, it was!
Thanks, Jason!!! Love it
Thank you! ☺️
You made the same mistake that I did while riding Dr. Ruth the first time! When you get to the rock pit area, the trail turns a hard left where you went straight to the rock climb. (That is actually the end of "Ant Hill") This is a very easy mistake to make as the "turn" sign for Dr. Ruth is PAST the turn! I wish the trail crew would place the sign before hand as the rock climb and the following rock decent are not "blue" features.
I did not know that. Next time I’m there I will pay more attention there. Thanks.
Bro you are tearing that shit UPPP!
Thank you. 😊 the trail was running pretty good that day. Thanks for watching.
At what point is that like roller coaster straight down and back up?
Not sure what you are asking, but I only road the trails once and it’s been quite a few years back now. I could look at my ride data again though.
Look like quality glasses
They are pretty good. Not a bad price either.
what size are you wearing?
These are size Large.
This place sucks bad and they charge you to ride
Sucks how? It is a Midwest trail system with not too much elevation to work with but they did a good job with what do have. They are some pretty standard XC trails that are good for all types of rider skill levels. I rode there quite a few years back and I enjoyed riding there. I don’t think they suck at all. A lot of parks charge, these trail systems require quite a bit of maintenance.
its only a few dollars, and its an ok bike park
I can’t find you are doing ther help me please
I'm not sure what you mean
Nice review Thanks JayLo!
Thank you.
What software shows the map on upper right screen and speed on left? Thanks.
Garmin VIRB edit. I think it’s still around. You upload your ride data and video then can choose different gages. Then export it and do the rest of the editing in Final Cut Pro. It adds a bit of time to the editing process but it’s worth it.
@@jaylocycling Thanks
It sure doesn't look like this now. I rode May 19 and not much pine needles; compared to years ago; a lot of exposed dirt and roots to climb. It's a good workout and fun.
I think i the video it’s really hard to tell where the trail is but it actually wasn’t quite as bad as it seemed in the video. But yes there were a lot of pine needles that’s fat. Those trails are really a blast to ride. Thanks for watching.
Missing the area as it was and the old memories
Fun times.
Handsome and gorgeous or beauty and beast
Thank you 😊
I want to ride there. Lots of technical stuff
It’s fun and scary
Good song for this
Thank you ☺️
It could be illegal?
Only illegal if you get caught
So Kool. Nice bike. No chains on me
Right on
Legend. Love the graphics
Fo sho.
Beauty on a nice bike. Miss riding with you Sara
You and me both!
So much fun
That rock is a blast.
Good one. Your dad's whistle. Lol. I like that burm
😁
Those are awesome. I need to get some. Thank you for always giving great reviews, unboxing and ideas for biking.
They just came out with a clipless version and an mtb version
Just did this trail for the first time today. So worth all the climbing
@Dan Nice. It’s pretty tough trail. I’ve done it on a single speed MTB a few times 😱. It’s definitely worth a try.
Спасибо за видео!
You are welcome. Thank you for watching.
Great video, great ride! This angle of this camera accurately shows the elevation changes. All others trail ride vids really flatten out the terrain. What camera and what mount are you using?
Chaz thank you for watching. I’m glad you liked it. Griffin bike park has such an awesome place. I’m using a GoPro hero 8 with a k-edge out front mount xl combo which has the garmin mount on the top side and the GoPro mount underneath. The stabilization on the hero 8 is amazing. I’m also shooting at 1080p 30frame rate on the wide lens setting.
I wana take my chain off but is it legal?
Not too sure about the legality. My bike is pedal assist so it doesn’t make too much sense to take it off. I was in process of cleaning the drive train but I wanted to take it out for a quick spin to test out some other repairs I had made. Around where I live there are quite a few steep hills and being able to pedal is a must since the motor isn’t that strong. If you have a large motor and large battery it might be fine. Definitely check the road rules in your area, most likely it would probably be fine.
Great little trail. Nice shots!
Thank you @Florida Trailrider. It was a nice trail system that is lots of fun.
I want more
We shall my dude, we shall
