Hi, If you do not know your official start date, return the form to your new employer with the start date 'blank' and they will be able to populate it when you officially start. Just make sure you make a note in your diary of your first day in work in your diary. In case, they forget. Hope this helps.

Hi there, if your new job will be your only job when you start your new employment, and you will not be receiving any other form of income from pension or benefits the option will be 'A'. But you must go through the new starter checklist and complete each section as it applies to you, as it would stand, on the first day of your new employment. If you will have multiple jobs/other income, or this is your first job in this tax year 6th April 2024 - 5th April 2025, you will need to decide which option to tick. You must follow the instructions and decide which section to complete. It is VERY important that you put yourself in your shoes at the time of your first day in the new job. Otherwise you may be over/under taxed. Which will affect future income and may require you to phone HMRC at a later date to rectify your tax code. You may not have a P45 at the start of your employment, but it may follow after. As soon as you receive your P45 from your old employer, give it to the payroll department at the new employer. They will use the information to update your tax records. If you leave it too long, and they have received a new Tax Code from HMRC the P45 will not be used. Speed is of the essence! Hi, we recommend using your UK registered address so that HMRC or your employer can send information to you easily. However, if you do not have UK address because you are working for a UK employer but live in another country for example, then use your home address. Whenever possible, use an address you know you will receive post/mail such as Tax Code notifications or other HMRC information safely. I hope this helps.

Hi Lewis, If you will not have a 2nd job at the start of your new employment then the answer is you do not have a second job. Some people have multiple jobs all at one time. Hopefully this will help.
