@@CentseiSam the American river hatchery is a great start, just make sure to read the rules and regulations because there is a lot of them on that river.

I like using an 8’6 medium heavy from shore so I have enough backbone to throw heavy enough weight to stick.
They aren't allowd to check the hook with anything but there eyes

I know they run up the feather but the feather river is 100% closed for sturgeon fishing according to the new regulations but for the American River I have always wondered that myself !
