People in these comments dont understand how a powerband works. If you only shift at the point where you make peak power and not after. Your next gear will be 20 horsepower/ 2000rpm down from that peak power outpur rpm. Meanwhile, if you rev 1000rpm past your peak power you only drop about 5 peak horsepower. Shifting later to keep your rpm in that gear and the next gear as close to the peak power output rpm as possible is how you maximize acceleration. Coming from a guy that ran 10.97 at 122 on my almost 700lb fjr1300 with a slip on and tune only. You made a good run and the fz1 has a shorter wheelbase and longer gearing than my FJ making it harder too launch.

Love this car but the clear coat it comes with from factory is terrible. If you don’t wax it or ceramic coat it as soon as you get it. It starts to loose it’s luster after a few washes.

Where are you located?

I'm not sure exactly what the problem is is it that you don't want your steering stem nut to get scratched by the bottom of that screw? If so you can either buy a shorter screw from any hardware store or just cut the one you have back with an angle grinder third option which is the lamest because you don't get to fabricate stuff is just ignore it. Cosmetics be damned if it's a matter of safety

Had this for a while and now also a bit of a clunk when turning wheel at low speeds. Apparently the steering rack UJ knuckle joint - it comes with a rubber boot too just wondering if this is the part (number 8K1419753H) that you replaced? Old vid but still relevant. Mine is set up with the knurled adjustment thing on top not the side like this one. It was all done when I bought the bike so can't comment on installation but have looked carefully at mine and marveled at it and the quality of it all. $700 NZ dollars worth so half that for U.S dollars roughly. Well worth having and I have mine dialed in just nice and no low speed oscillations I get if it is backed right off. Great for crap quality roads that are not the smoothest, less juddering etc.. and more control feel. I am so lucky and grateful that all this sort of thing, levers, akrapovic, steering damper, wheels and other stuff including even a radar detector was all done and came with the bike and I did not seem to be paying more. The previous owner was a great guy who obviously was taking a huge loss and just wanted to give someone deserving (me) a good deal. Love the bike and can't see me ever getting rid of it. I may add to it with another bike one day maybe a 600 but would always keep my fizzy.
