We had such a blast making these together! It's been a few years since I've made myself a costume for trick or treating and so I'm excited about this year! There's gonna be a few of us with massive pumpkin heads trapsing around the neighborhood on the 31st. ;) - In hindsight, should definitely have added straps to go under our chins: it was hard to keep the faces pointing the right direction. The skirt is beautiful (and with pockets?!?), but the outfit is top to bottom gorgeous!!!!
@@alysonono thank you so much! And yes, pockets are now mandatory on all my skirt makes. XD
Those are so adorable and pretty! Thanks for sharing the process with us!
Thank you so much! And of course, hope it was inspiring! ✨
omgsss they are soooo cuteeee, i’m going to make some for my siblings now
@@pizzaplanet6793 you should! They’re fantastic!
Oh my gosh! Thank you for this! I'm about to start this and I was so intimidated by the pattern lol! Would you mind sharing what fabrics you used for the appliqués? I really love the texture of the brown!
@@haleydawnkopf oh I’m so glad I could be of help! You’ll do great, it’s a wonderful pattern. (: The dark brown is actually a cotton twill which is why it has a different texture! The other appliqués are Art Gallery Fabrics. And just as another tip, I highly recommend trying to find a stiffer interfacing if you’re making the medium or large. The two layers of featherweight worked on the tiny wings but I regret not having something more form encouraging for the larger two.
Great Job, Lilly! The wings are gorgeous! I for one would love to see more whimsical content! Your videos brighten up my day!
Thank you so much, Auntie Catherine! ❤️

Are you part of an FSSP parish? Small world. Beautiful work. ❤ We belong to an FSSP chaplaincy in Central California. JMJ
I am! We love our Latin Mass, so beautiful. And thank you so much!
Thank you for the video. Your pilgrimage outfit turned up beautiful. Nice you include footage of the walk. I got the same sewing machine and never has done embroidery. 😊
@@isi-sew thank you so much! The embroidery is such a cool feature; once you learn the basics, there are so many new horizons!

💚🖤 I love the outfit, I will need to look into that top pattern. The pilgrimage looked to be a wonderful event.
Thank you so much! It was a truly wonderful experience, I highly recommend. Also this shirt pattern is indeed fire! 🔥
Congrats, Lily on getting your own channel! I am so proud of you! You are a natural in front of the camera! Love how it turned out too! God bless!
Thank you so much! You’re so sweet. ❤️
I stumbled upon your channel since i recently became interested in quilts (I'm so excited to make my first quilt for my new niece or nephew) and then this video pops up and YOU'RE CATHOLIC, God surely guided me to your channel. I am now thoroughly inspired to find a pilgrimage in New England. May God bless you, and I pray that you found immense joy in your polgrimage. P.S. who is the patron saint of embroidery? I may need to add their statue to mt collection
Oh I’m so excited for your quilt! I hope you get hooked on quilt making, it’s SO much fun! *My* “patron saint” of embroidery is a coworker and friend who I go to with all my questions and advice seeking. But I’ve heard the real patron saint of embroiderers is Veronica Giuliani! Will have to do more research though. (;
Both pieces turned out amazing!! You were the most stylish pilgrim there ;p it’s always such a blessing to walk with you!!! ❤️
Lol, thank you, you’re so sweet. ❤️ So lucky to have walked with you, I loved singing with you and Mary; one of the highlights of the trip!
I love it! I'm jealous of the skirt, I can never find that kind when I'm shopping haha. And the Pilgrimage is so cool, wish we could have gone ♥️
I know! I’m gonna have to make more of my own skirts, they’re not terribly difficult! And it was a wonderful experience. They host it every year if you want to make it next October! (;
The footage of the pilgrimage literally made me cry. Amazing. Thank you for including that.
Awww that’s so sweet! It was a deep experience.
Wow... so beautiful. And the outfit as well! Lovely work, fun video, amazing finished project! I'm so proud of you!

Great work for your second video! Love your scapular and Sacred Heart picture! My young adult daughter and I watched and that made us so happy. Loved your final result on the dress also. My girl is making her wedding dress and we watch sewing videos together. ❤️
Thank you so much! My next video is gonna be quite Catholic as I’m embroidering the Hearts of the Holy Family. (; And that’s awesome! I hope her dress turns out beautifully and that she and her husband-to-be have a happy holy life! ❤️
The dress turned out great! ❤
@@janlp1667 thank you so much!
Eep I love this!!! The dress actually turned out SO GOOD I’m insanely impressed. The way I would lose my mind if I had to unstitch something I messed up, I think I would just leave it alone 😭 but every single change you made was for the better!!! Awesome work!!
@@mariawagner2707 thank you so much, Maria! You’re so sweet. ❤️
This is my favorite way to spend time!!! Watching my big sister accomplish more amazing stuff!!!! ❤❤❤❤ Someday I want to have the ability to make a dress like you!
@@Irina-gu4sh awwww 🥺 you’re so sweet. ❤️💔
This dress came out super cute. My favourite parts are the bow at the back and the petticoat peeking out. I just love watching your process!
Thank you so much! I’ll be adding bows to the back of all my dresses from this point on. ;)
🤎
First, you did a great job and you look amazing! Second, I agree hemming sucks, but it could be worse. I'm a good 3-4 times your size. Whenever you think hemming is a struggle, imagine it taking 4 times as long. Lol. Lastly, I understand not liking how things look on you. However, the wider your shoulders and hips look, the smaller your waist looks! Keep up the great work!
I giggled about how the bigger you are the more seam you have!
Aw, thank you! And these are great points, it could take longer to hem. Also, thank you for the comment on hips/shoulder width, that’s a great nugget of information! And not just for sewing but everyday fashion too!
Definitely agree on skirts! If it’s not twirly there’s no point:) The dress I’m making right now actually has a fairly slim skirt on the pattern, which I didn’t really realize til after I cut it out. But thankfully I have extra fabric so I should have enough to add another panel if I don’t like it. I love your dress so much btw!!! It looks perfect for dancing!
@@brookemunn6677 I know?!? If I’m gonna wear a skirt it has to be fun. And I just find fuller skirts look nicer on me. Oh that’s awesome! Thank goodness for extra fabric, I hope it turns out lovely! ❤️
Lovely and super fun dress!
Thank you so much! ❤
Well done! It was a joy to watch your process! And fun camera angles!
