Hola amigos, Nowwwww La Sandia is one of my top calling in spots 🎉 The 2 sports bars you highlighted are top notch and the one standing on its own (can't for the life of me remember it's name ☹️) BUT they show/or did a lot of skying/snow sports on the TV from Germany and Austria, very cooling when the afternoon sun is on the street terrace 👍 and they sell draught Veltins lager 😁 The bar meals are generous too! It's not on the radar for most typical Brit visitors and they provide roast salted peanuts with your beer, how civilised (or a ploy to get you drinking more beer 😎) Overall LaSandia CC is worth seeking out as there is lots happening and caters for all tastes (plenty of adult swingers clubs/bars late night😮) Cheers DougT

Hi K&P, that water slide has been abandoned for many, many years it could even have been built illegally (?) and not up to EEC standards. There appeared to have been a cafe/bar there too. A German YT has posted old cine/early video of the water slide in it's heyday. Now I must admit I have never noticed the statue before. My he's well formed too 😚 almost as blatant as Dickie, Lewis's store statue in Liverpool. Google him and read the story if your not aware of him 😎 There was also an open air swimming pool on the top of the Anexo CC, but I think it's all closed and abandoned now. You could see it from on that promenade. Those crescent beaches are quiet as there are lots of steps to climb up/down to get to them!!! Cheers DougT

Ho guys, it's nice to see the settled sun again. It's only by seeing yours and another Scots YT coverage of Meloneras that I didn't know how that area had developed. It's a tad more upmarket? I think the acrobats are different group to the ones at night in the Yumbo centre. Many moons ago folks used to build round sun shelters(?) On the beach at Maspolomas from the big pebbles from the waters edge for nudism and textile sunbathing. However years back the conservation dept banned the building of them and used to break them up. The pebbles/rocks used to help prevent sand erosion from the tides. This is Atlantic waters and subject to tidal movements etc. I'm sure there are Google images that explain the pebble hides better than I can. Cheers DougT

Hi guys, I haven't seen the inside suites since they revamped the complex. They used to have more catering facilities before and the bed area in most of them was separated, plus side you had the large balcony room. I personally would prefer the front suites as less road noise. For the location it's great if you can tolerate that green cupboard etc 😎I guess the Irish in you would be ok with the green 😂 Cheers DougT

Hi guys, pre pandemic there were no 'guided' paths and you could roam anywhere. However a few years back the authorities made the decision to protect the scrub bushes etc as the constant tramping were destroying the vegetation that held the dunes together. However a more probable reason was to stamp out the more 'adult' recreation that happens there 😮 A word of warning though watch out for the 'crown of thorns' seed pods in the dunes. If you stand on one In bare feet the hook thorns embed in the skin and can be painful removing them 😂, I know!! Also AlWAYS watch out the safety flags on the beach as the undercurrents there are deadly and each season there are numerous deaths by drowning, esp after a few beers/cocktails etc. Cheers DougT

Es ist schön wieder Luggi zu sehen und zu hören. Frühschoppen im Mozart 2 gehört für uns bei jedem Besuch auf GC dazu. Meine Frau und ich wohnen meist gleich unweit. Santa Monica. Im LariFari ist es auch sehr bequem und nur unweit von der Cita. Special: USB-Port an der Seite der Tische, zum Aufladen des Handys. Vorher noch nie gesehen. 👍
