Grass Roots fan here. First time I'm hearing this.... love it...especially the harmonies.....

I first heard their cover of "Where Were You..." in the mid '80s, and I loved it - up there with anything they did. And this is a decent performance... But for the love of God, Susanna, the last chord in the chorus (Where.....?) is a V, not a I!

Thanks for sharing some of the music of my country. This Mexican carol seems to be more performed in the USA than in Mexico. First time I heard it was in a recording by the Von Trapp Family Singers. Although not yet confirmed, the authorship is due to F. Jose Guadalupe Velazquez (1856-1920) a catholic priest who studied music in Regensburg, Germany. Food for thought! Also, please mention the name of the arranger.
