Some of these tips are for Guinea pigs in general, not really for a single Guinea pig. You should trim your pigs nails either way.

Thanks for posting this! I have a rescue pig that is highly aggressive to every partner we've given him, and sadly our only option has been to keep him separate. He's a happy pig, but we always feel a bit bad that he doesn't get much time with his own kind.

It makes me really sad how many people in the comments are getting one through choice. Please, please don’t. That might sound harsh but Guinea pigs suffer when they live alone. They are very sociable animals, and humans cannot be a companion in the same way another Guinea pig can. There are rare circumstances where they might unfortunately need to live alone, and this video is helpful for those scenarios, but this really should be a last resort. Please get another animal that is happier being alone, eg a hamster, if you aren’t willing or able to get two or more for whatever reason. It honestly makes me sad to think of any Guinea pig alone, only because their owner doesn’t want two 😔
