I had a similar first day, other than that I had at least 1/2 gallon of slobber running off my elbows!
@@shelleyclarke9325 that first day is such a struggle 😭
Glad I saw this. I'm only 4 weeks in... it's all so fiddly, tbh I regret not going for clear braces - I work a very senior corporate job, have severe ADHD, and don't get to stop for meals at work, and I have low appetite issues already - I *don't* want to lose weight, and if I were to stick to these rules it would cause me bigger problems. I'm a slow eater and can't shovel in 3 meals a day. I have to find a way that's practical, like you have. Proper brush at start and end of day. My guess is that Invisalign gives these rules to cover themselves legally. I trust myself to know when it's OK to bend them. Thanks for validation!
Thank You 😭
Hey Jess! Great video, and your teeth look awesome. Quick question for you: How did you get the chipped tooth fixed?
@@PierceJPeterson thank you so much! They fixed my chipped tooth with composite bonding 😊
@@JessLotte Got it! Thanks for the reply
helpful. thanks
Pourquoi ça ressemble à un dentier maintenant ? Il a fait quoi ? Il a limé les dents pour qu'elles soient aussi droites et carrées ?
Great tip on releasing pressure on the attachments by pushing the aligner outwards as u remove them. Thanks!!
I ended up cutting inside my lips on both sides when my bottom aligner caught on it while trying to pull it out 😿 Thanks for your video!
I was literally about to have a panic attack trying to get mine off my top teeth specifically. I thought for sure I was going to rip my teeth out or something...thank you!

Wtf? You have bottom tooth gap that's terrible
How do you feel about hard candy or mints to suck on
@@amynicholls814 I don’t think I had mints or hard candy the entire time I was on Invisalign, to be honest. That wasn’t intentional though. I guess I just never really thought about it!
Omg lol i go for 22 everyday.
@@noshititskrae that’s awesome!! I was a little lazy with mine sometimes 😅
This was very insightful Jess! I think it’s unfortunate that now that people are more on board with “traditional” living it’s also a time where it’s much harder to raise a family/support yourselves on 1 income. However, I’m thankful to live in a time where being a stay at home wife/mom or being a working woman are both seen as valid options, since this has not been the case through most of history and women in the past couldn’t even make that decision for themselves.
Thank you! 🥹 I could not agree more. I’m grateful for our ability to pursue paths we truly desire when it wasn’t that simple for women generations ago. AND I also think so many couples today (and singles people too, honestly) are forced to overwork themselves because the cost of living is so high. There has to be a better balance. Hopefully we see that within our lifetime 😊
Same day 1 thoughts and emotions
Thank you for the mention! Happiness starts at home and homemaking is something EVERYONE can do. I always say, if you have a place to lay your head at night, you deserve for that space to feel like a home. Homemaking can look so different for everyone. This space needs and deserves diversity ❤❤
@@thymeandtenderness ahhh, Victoria!! I am fan-girling over here. Thank you so much for watching and for your kind comment. Love to hear your thoughts and I could not agree more - this space DOES need and deserve diversity. 💝 Love your content and am always excited to see new videos from you. Thank you for being a positive voice in this space!
you look amazing with both colors, but brown hair was made for youuuu ❤️
It’s a movement made by conservatives who oppose women having careers. It has zero in common with choosing to be a stay at hone mom. The tradwidmfe movement is drenched in sexist beliefs. Why would you defend it..
I know this is an old video, but I am definitely going to try that trick for the bottom trays because mine have been horrible (day 3) to the point it feels like I am about to crack my own teeth in half. I have a total of 48 trays for THE FIRST ROUND, with an oral surgery next month, and possible jaw surgery after through all 48 trays if that seems needed at that point... I also have attachment buttons on every single tooth in my mouth except my two directly middle lower teeth. If tomorrow I can take that bottom tray out without being in absolute pain, I will sing your praises lol
They say that any complexion can wear brown hair and they also say that men like brown hair the best yay it looks fabulous
Hi Jess, I am not a traditional housewife myself. I am married and we both work. We both take care of the children and do the housework together. I think it is important to be independent as a woman. As women, we have also fought to be equal with men. That doesn't mean I look like a man or think like a man. I still enjoy dressing and behaving like a woman. This works well for us. We must not forget that women have fought for this for a long time. We are happy this way. And everyone has to do what feels right. Thank you for this interesting video.
Yeh i literally have to get mine out with a fork... 😂
@@funkymusochick a fork?! 🤣 I mean, whatever works. Those first couple days I was so desperate, so I get it!
I think the trad wives should be allowed to do whatever they want to do. That is feminism. However when you start assigning moral value to it is when it gets murky. On the left side of the aisle most of us just want everyone to be able to live the life they want to live. Most of the trad wife’s I’ve watched are actively encouraging you to live like them and if you don’t want to, you’re somehow failed morally.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts Jess. As a (fairly progressive) women that works full time and finds myself attracted to aspects of the tradwife movement too, I've been waiting to hear other (less black and white) perspectives on the this phenomenon. Thanks for bringing a more grounded perspective on this topic!
You have no idea how refreshing it is to hear that from another like-minded person. 🩷 I’m so glad I’m not the only one. Thanks for sharing and for watching.
It's really hard to take out even from inside it takkes times and i am feeling my teeth will get out with it it's my first day and i am feeling like i did a huge mistake 🥹 please tell me it will loosen up with time
@@srishtinanda7997 it absolutely will get better and easier! I was feeling the exact same way those first few days. I was regretting getting Invisalign and thought I made a mistake too. But I’m finished now and I am sooooo happy with my results. It was 100% worth it and I believe the same for you. Hang in there! 🩷
I'm with the tradwives. My wife and I have lived this way for 16 years now (13 with a son) and we're both very glad we did.
Feminism basically succeeded thanks to men.
People enjoy farming video games for similar reasons. Stardew Valley made me want to run away and start a farm. 😄
That’s a really good point!
I feel the same😢
@@marifelpascuasumajit4646 it will get better! ❤️🩹
So does it also whiten the nodules that are placed on the teeth as part of the invisalign process?
@@craig617 I don’t think so! But I had my attachments off my teeth already at this point so I’m not 100% sure.
@@JessLotte Thx!
Tradwife is just a feminist who believes her husband should pay for everything while she drives an expensive SUV.
It's helpful to remember that for the vast majority of human history, women of status and wealth had the privilege of not having to work. Having to work was seen as a lower-class necessity, as domestic servants did most of the housework for the upper classes. For a brief period of time (circa mid-twentieth century), Western society became wealthy and productive enough to allow a socioeconomic family model resembling what had traditionally been possible only for the aristocracy. It's not all so cut and dried, but the "traditional" family model was better suited for preventing burnout for both mother and fathers. The mothers could focus on the children and the home (enormous tasks) without having to worry about the income. The father could toil away for endless hours and the only thing preventing burnout was knowing he had a loving family to support and come home to after a long day at work.
And now that has changed due to feminism and equality
I found most tradwifes have an inheritance, or own the house, or getting help from parents that enable them to stay home. Most are not fully relying on husbands for their support, but they'll go online and lie telling everyone that their husband is supporting them . Forgetting some of us know them in real life outside facebook, and know they're full of bs. Most tradwives are smug and seem to think they're superior to women who have to work for a living, and sometimes take sadistic joy in rubbing it in that they don't have to work, and have a "good" man to support them, when you KNOW dam well they have an inheritance that's allowing them their trad life.
Oh my gosh thank you so much I’ve been needing this cause it feels like I’ve been ripping my teeth out😭

Mine are best inserted, if I seat the front [incisors, upper and lower] first, and then snap down the back [molars]. And, of course, "chew" them into place, either with the "chewies" [which wear out quickly], or, my favorite, a teether. And, for those of you considering Invisalign, but are reluctant, because of perceived discomfort and hassles of insertion, removal, and cleaning --- it all becomes easier and smoother, very quickly, and the results are worth it.
Ive seen some of your videos and it looks like you had aligners for a while. Was there a point when you felt like you were able to bite food normally? I've had them for about a week and it almost seems like chewing is worse than before :(
How is this dress holding up after a few washes? The dress looks good on you =) Where did you get that wrap-around sweater?
Thank you so much! I’ve worn and washed it so much this spring and summer and it’s holding up really well! Just wore it yesterday, actually. The wrap around sweater was from SHEIN a few years back so I’m not sure if you can still get it but I’m sure there are lots of similar options!
I grew out my natural colour over the three years of lockdown and then I dyed it blonde and have serious regrets doing it. The same happened to me, the bleached destroyed my hair and it ended up looking like trash. Now I’m growing out my natural colour and it’s taking another three years. If there is one piece of advice I would give anyone. Do not bleach your hair! It destroys it and looks like trash.
Used to have fixed bracea before. Like 15 years or so. Now Invisalign because teefies moves a little. From my experience invisalign hurts and it sucks but braces sucked so much more 😂 everytime something falls of and you have small open wounds all the time because of the metal
Oh no girl, shaving without numbing it ? Thats cruel :( I do always request numbing, even when I have just a little Chip
Great video! Thanks for the tips!

Thank u got my buttons on yesterday and ouch this method is so much easier and a little less pain
