ISPC South Africa - National Selection Match I (2024)
The first of 3 National Selection matches saw us brave the dust and heat of Stilfontein, South Africa. I am overjoyed that I managed to walk away with the Classic Overall win. This puts me in a very good position to make the National Team to compete in next year's World Shoot. Enjoy!

A quick set of stages made for a very fun shoot with some great training for the upcoming selection match. This match made me focus on score and I am please that I managed to shoot 96% of the available score. As always, it wouldn't have been possilbe without #silverrapids delivering the best in the business!

Our Continental Championships was held recently at the Frontier Range in Stilfontein, South Africa. This will also be the venue of the XX World Shoot. It was 4 days of shooting and my biggest competition in Classic thus far. Overall I am pleased with the result and I walked away with a wealth of knowledge. Please like, comment and subscribe!

What are the As and Cs?
@@jacor1187 Hi there. In IPSC, the target has got 3 hit zones, called "Alpha", "Charlie" and "Delta" zones. Points are awarded as follows: an Alpha hit gets you 5 points, a Charlie gets you 3 and a Delta gets you one point. Your 2 highest scoring hits count, so ideally you want to shoot two Alphas per target. Hope that explains it!

Thanks for the compliment! For Classic division, I run a 1911 Colt Competition Series in 9mm. I've put a competition hammer and flat-trigger into it. I also run it with the Armanov grips and a backstrap with magwell.
@andremaraispracticalshooti7868 that's pretty cool. I shoot a colt 1911 as well but in 45acp for Bianchi and a bit of ipsc. Had the trigger completely replaced, and I'm using RHT grips, and my sights were replaced with narrower units. 1911s are so much fun when you get them to run 💯

0:42 - What happened to the 180°-rule?
Still in effect. You can see that there were cones placed at the 180º lines at the start. The camera adds a bit of a fish-eye lense to the frame, which could make the angles seem a bit off😉

Howzit man? can you carry that 92x for everyday carry?
Hey man. I'm sure you can, however, I wouldn't recommend it. It's a heavy firearm and competition guns can get very troublesome if dust and grit gets in it for extended periods of time. Rather get something like the Beretta APX. Much better EDC option in my opinion.
