Nitration of Benzene! This is an electrophilic substitution reaction, where one species is replaced by a nitro (-NO2) group to form a nitro compound. It’s important to recognise how the electrophile is made, how the catalyst is regenerated, and the curly arrow mechanism too! I hope this helps me, my Predicted grade is a 4, i really struggled with revision, to the point where i would do worse if i did revise I honestly don't know how that's possible but there you go. i eventually just quite revising al together so i really hope this helps. not just geography but all my subjects. 😃👍
Thanks for the information glad to hear an amazing advices ❤❤
thanks for the advice bro
Thanks for these tips! I just started year 12 this month and I’ve been enjoying everything so far. I’ve made sure to utilise my free periods for studying and making sure I’ve understood the topics I learnt in class. I do Maths, Physics and Economics. At home I play on the Xbox as I need some downtime from studies. I do around another 1-2 hours of study at home but it’s more spaced out between my Xbox time so I don’t feel burnt out. Weekends I tend to do 4 hours including homework and then just chill out and maybe watch something. In a way these free periods have helped me so much.
Amazing!!! You’re doing everything you should do. I’m so proud of you 👏🏼
thx bro
Great video
How the hell is this not viral mate??
Haha thank you!!

I revise so so much and I have gotten 4’s and 6’s, whilst my friend who doesn’t gets 8’s.

Most likely, your friends are revising. Many people just won’t say anything (which I think is strange) !
hi what essay structure do you use ? :)) and how could i get my grade 4 up to a 7 considering that 7 is my target grade (which is understandable because i dont know any content) how could i revise all the content before the exam?

@@TylerJamesTalks Ty! 💙
I really don't understand how my friends don't revise Geography at all and get a grade 9 but i revise effectively and get max grade 7.
Most likely, your friends to revise; I’m 99% sure of it. People have this thing that they do where they tell people they don’t revise at home because they feel embarrassed for doing so, which I think makes no sense if I’m honest as it’s benefitting their future. Instead, they’ll just say they don’t revise and magically get grade 9’s. Don’t get me wrong, some people find certain subjects easier to remember, but all subjects require revision! My advice is, don’t listen to what others say and remember to not compare yourself to others. It’s not a race, it’s a journey. As long as you know you’re putting in enough effort as you should, that’s all that matters! Hope this helps 😁
its just easy for some people,ik a guy whos gettging 5s and 6/7s and in maths and science but gets a 9 in geo
I find geography easy and got an 8 in my mocks without revising it but I spent hours and hours revising chemistry and physics and got 5s. Peoples out of school experiences and who they interact with along with biological factors lead to people finding some subjects easy and some things harder.
For digital flashcards I definitely recommend Knowt!! It has pretty much every feature I want, including a feature called Spaced Repetition which basically means you can choose to put a certain set of flashcards on your Knowt home page to remind you to study them every day. You can also revise other people's flashcards sets so if your friends have already made a set you can use their's and save time. It's completely free and literally my favourite thing ever to revise
Great advice!!
Hello Tyler... do you offer tuition for students struggling with GCSE Geography ? Thank you

Thanks, this really helped since I've got my geography mocks in 3 weeks and I'm at a 6 right now but I would really like to get an 7 or 8!
This is amazing to hear! I’m glad I’m having a positive impact 😅 you’ll do amazing, don’t worry! Make sure you use a textbook or UA-cam to revise all the topics in detail! Also, practice exam questions! Use the PEEL technique!!
Hiya just came across ur account and wanted to say this was rlly useful! I’m in year 13 too and have my mocks soon so thank you for this!
Thank you so so much! That means a lot 😄 good luck with your mocks! I just done my paper 1 for my chemistry mock :)
thank youuu
Welcome!!!
I got a grade 4 in yr10 mocks, 5 in paper 1 and 3 mocks but tomorrow I have paper 2 mocks and I really struggle with paper 2. I can remember small parts but in the assessments I waffle too much and answer the question wrong. How can we tell what place the exam wants us to write about without it saying?
This is a problem many people have, you’re not alone! 🙂 In order to gain as many marks possible in a short amount of writing and time is to use the PEEL structure. Make a Point, use Evidence (facts and figures), then Explain this point, and then Link back to the question. I suggest you watch a UA-cam video on how to answer questions using the PEEL structure!
thank youu! so helpful unique advice

How do i improve as i got a 5 in my y11 nov mocks and id love a 7 or 8
With chemistry, actually understanding the topics is honestly vital. You must be able to put lots of different information together to be able to understand a specific concept in Chemistry! Make sure to get good at your maths in chemistry too, that’s very important 😊 there’s honestly not much else to say, other than the things I’ve stated in my videos! All the best!
Subscribed and liked. Really found the tips useful and will apply them now. Thank you!
Awesome, thank you!
For chemistry practical 12 AQA is it a research question or do I just perform the information from the instructions
I’m so sorry but I’m unsure, I’ll look when I get home!
absolutely brilliant video brother, keep posting on year 13 stuff too a video on how u revised and what u did for biology and chem in year 12 would also be really helpful
Thank you so so much! This means a lot 💪🏼
Hey there any tips on gcse history Biology and chemistry?
I didn’t do history at gcse. For bio, it’s about memorising key definitions, understanding key topics and flashcards! For chem, it’s the same!
thanks @@TylerJamesTalks
For ocr a Biology alevel practical 12 is a research practical what would you be doing, in terms of what is the research about and would they provide me with a topic to research and only then and there in the lab I’d be researching that specified topic? What is that practical about?
I haven’t done that practical yet, but by the time it comes, your teacher will make sure to tell you. Don’t worry about it all until the time comes 😊
@@TylerJamesTalks thank you

Ah that’s amazing! Do you think? I’m really glad 😅 normally I don’t post videos on teaching but if it helps you then sure! What topics do you struggle with? I also do A-alevel Biology and Geography 😊
@@TylerJamesTalks I would love to see the beginning topics of the alevel modules as that could help so much especially since this new yr 12 has begun school
Ah okay, I’ll make sure to start posting some more! 😅
@@TylerJamesTalks I’m just starting yr12 and I have to choose between aqa and ocr a for biology and chemistry do you recommend a specific exam board to do, if you do thank you as it would be a big help🤍
@@Strawberrypie3542 Both exam boards are basically the same in terms of content. HOWEVER, AQA does have a 24 marker essay at the end of the paper which is good if you have good writing skills! I do OCR A and prefer it!
tips on memorising the flashcards made?
Repetition is key! Keep doing the flashcards every day and it’ll start to stick 😅
Thanks so much for this - My first 3 days have been really productive and the content has been pretty light so far - I am thinking about completing an EPQ, along with doing Maths, Physics an Chemistry. Have any of your friends done EPQs, and if so, could you give me some personal advice and tips regarding this please? Anyways, thank you!!
I’m so glad it’s going well for you so far, keep up the hard work and effort and you’ll get those A/A* grades in your exams 😁. In terms of EPQ’s, my school doesn’t offer them so I haven’t done any and I don’t know anyone that has done them, but I do know a lot about them. They take a year to complete (so the whole of year 12) and are really good to do! With many universities, having an EPQ can lower the grades required to get into some universities, which is great! They do require a lot of work and writing, but they will really help you. They’re not essential to do, but can help. I hope this helps, good luck with your A-Level’s 💙
Nice video mate, finished my alevels, taking a gap year, going to Exeter next year, honestly can’t recommend it enough, I’d say go for it if you can. And these tips are informative and pretty useful if you want to do well, I didn’t do them all and did good but they could be super helpful, great vid!
Ah really? That's amazing to hear as I am applying to Exeter Uni for 2024! Thank you so much for the comment, I really appreciate it :D
Hi there! I begin my a-levels tomorrow and i was wondering what alternatives there is to flash cards. Also i’d it a good idea to summarise notes after every lesson. Finally , is there a set guide for a levels , like the exact information you need all in one place?
Good luck with your A-Levels, make sure to work hard from the beginning! 😊 flashcards are honestly amazing and I don’t think can be beaten as they allow for spaced repetition and active recall. Possibly condensed notes in which you REALLY condense the info and make sure to read over regularly could be a good substitute? Honestly flashcards are the best for this however. I recommend that after a lesson you do summarise, but with condensed notes, don’t just copy a page from a textbook!! And the specification for your exam board is the best thing to use for getting all the information about what to learn, and actually learning it I recommend CGP Guides for subjects such as Science and Maths!
@@TylerJamesTalks Thank you so much !! i will take on your advice and i will check in every so often ! :) Currently studying Media , English Language and Criminology . Hoping to do something with journalism at uni!!! I will keep you updated. Thank you so much!
@@kaylasheldon9569 Ah amazing, that sounds so interesting! Media will have a few definitions you'll need to remember, and English will have a few words that you'll need to learn the meanings of, so making flashcards for these will be beneficial. But asides from that, flashcards aren't probably the best option for your choice of studies for English and Media Studies. Perhaps mindmaps, essay practising and CONDENSED note-taking will be good for these! However, I have no clue about criminology I am so sorry! I hope it all goes well for you during A-Levels, just keep working hard from day 1 and you'll smash it!!!
