He got a bad drive in the Meadowlands pace. He should have stayed 3rd on the outside behind cover. Come three wide at the top of the stretch. Great horse.
I have made comments before about Four Starzzz, I witnessed early races when he was young, he was laying in the weeds. His first Haughton win was a Lock including the Exacta, easy Trifecta too.
@@judyhebert2939 I was at Greenwood and Mohawk since the 1960's. At the time Paul drove the horse he would have been considered a less than average driver at those tracks and by world standards a terrible driver. He did get better but that was about 10 years later. Ron Waples senior would have had a big shot at a 1:45 flat mile aboard Somebeachsomewhere at the red mile in Lexington.
@@judyhebert2939 Remember Ralph Hanover, remember who drove him? Remember the offspring of Ralph Hanover? The offspring were all pigs due to the greatness of the driver aboard. Why do you think the offspring of Cam Fella and Somebeachsomewhere were great? Because the drivers of both horses were a bunch of bums who should be driving horses at the B tracks at the time like Barrie Raceway and Orangeville Raceway.
@@comesahorseman Did you see what Dexter Dunn has done with Bulldog Hanover since Jack Darling handed over the driving assignment to him from Jody Jamieson? Dunn would be a good second or 5 lengths faster than Jamieson on any racetrack. The same would have been true if John Campbell had of driven Niatross in the time trial. By the way a half sister to Bulldog Hanover makes her maiden debut this Friday at Mohawk. Same owner as Bulldog Hanover out of a better sire.
I have his son jacks jet. retired. he's black but listed as brown. he does lighten up in the summer. I raced him for several years but retired him sound proud to say the only white freeze mark on him is his tatoo. love him!

t6hat race caller is a fuckwit. i hate american harness racing which is folow the leader no tactics just speed. ridiculous if you are leading and a horse gets a head in front you have to restrain
If you don't like it don't watch it! American harness racing is unique. I am an American grew up with harness racing drove my first race a 16 years old. Still loving it at 42. I respect all harness racing from around the globe, non of them are perfect. There all unique. I love watching the Aussies and New Zealand horses mostly American bred horses dual stud season. All over Europe with the distances and standing starts, Then the handicap start. Its all great. That is why there has not been many trainers or drivers that can succeed in the USA and outside the USA. Love guys like Jimmy Tatker, Ake Vanstad, Bret Pelling, Jan Johnson and more.
Karloo..I disagree..I Iike your Aussie/NZ racing as well..&I see you make many comments on those sites too..but..Our races are at a standard mile..yours are at all different lengths. .on our half mile tracks ..racing out front is the best place to be and win.unless you have a fast horse that likes cover... in that race jet laag was much the best and I'm sure the driver ..had a hard time even holding them back
Jet Laag is definaltely one of my favorite Standardbred studs to look for in thier bloodlines besides Western Hanover!! He is a very beautiful and amazing horse!
We purchased two 3 year old out of him last fall. We show the horses in speed classes around Ky... We bought Silver Blue Lady and White Rush. The filly "Silver" had his heart and speed. The gelding "Whitey" had his color, that was about it. No desire to race, he was just so dead headed! Its amazing how much the dams mke a difference! We traded them both for another Jet Laag mare, Pine Mountain Lady. Who is an amazing horse and definatley has his speed and looks!
@abatojo Harold Park is closed. Like I said, if I had to listen to Roger Houston all the time I woud give up the sport. Actually, if all there was is American harness racing I would also give it away anyway. I can't get over how boring your racing is. Obviously just my opinion. Not that I find time trials uninteresting but every race is more or less the same as the next. I honestly can't see the appeal. Anyway. Have u heard of Lombo Pocket Watch, who's a absolue ANZ legend & son of Jet Laag?
There is perhas th best performed son of Jet Laag that's ever raced making a comeback in Australia. After an amazing career as a juvenile and amassing nearly $1.5m in stakes they've postponed his stud career to race him in the rich Glouceste Park summer carnival in Perth Western Australia. Not hard to see the similarities between him and his father.
Minnie’s Cousin owned Somebeach Somewhere!❤
Qual a velocidade máxima?
The big grey sired the best 2yo of all time
Sired the best 2yo Australia has seen and his son is a spitting image of him
I own one of his offspring’s
how did Art Official beat him ??...SB SOMEWHERE only career loss
Bi
I own his son he didn’t make it in racing. My boy is 9 now and looks like a smaller version of his father. We are in Australia

I remember as a kid a horse running under 2min was good. Of course we didn't have mile long tracks in Australia back then
What a horse
Great Horse!

Miss the Great Race calls of Sam McKee
Greatest pacer to wear harness ever
Like a shooting star....gone too soon.
I was at the red mile at the race shown in this video I will never forget thinking wow how fast this horse is
I own one of Blissful Halls sons
Blissfull hall belongs to my cousin
Heck of a race
This horse was truly way ahead of his time. Literally and symbolically
The best there's ever been since Niatross ! $$ 😮
The world will never know how fast the beach could have run with a real driver aboard... 1:45 flat?
Really, 20 for 21 looks like Paul did a great job, never abused the horse, would not have won any more money by winning by more lengths

A "real driver". Well, they've been saying the same stuff about Clint Galbraith with Niatross. Results don't seem to matter. 🤷

Great great pacer
Wicked time, and Luc wasn't working hard on him.
Only ten complications best horse an sire to date. Truly the best
Imagine what the horse could have done with a driver in the sulky like Ron Waples senior instead of that lame turd MacDonnell.
Lol, you must be a friend of Paul’s or dumb as a box of rocks 😂
@@BACCAMANNY Maybe he smoked too much weed on some beach somewhere :)
Lol, no doubt! But I’m guessing he’s just playing 😉😎👍
But now he's gone. He was phenomenal. RIP Beach.

What a great race, I new that horse was laying in the weeds for a month, what a nice pacer, BIG heart!!

Dumb ass driver got him beat in the Meadowlands Pace.
Amazing son of Laag, grandson of Abercrombie.
But, but, but... Tinsel was a pig!! Kathleen Grattan was a bigger pig!!
Somebeach was somewhere but the rest were nowhere.
i think he had cancer, he was amazing though
