Return of the New Zealand Sea Lion
Return of the New Zealand Sea Lion. This is one of New Zealand's greatest wildlife comeback stories, as the locally extinct New Zealand Sea Lion reclaims the beaches along the South Island coastline for the first time in over 150 years.
Join me as I dive deep into their history and spend my time amongst the Sea Lions, observing them in their natural habitat, on the outskirts of Dunedin and the Otago Peninsula.
Please note that in line with Department of Conservation guidelines, all shots were taken at the recommended distance of 10m away from Sea Lions, with a majority being from 20m +.

Beautiful video! I am thinking of doing an overland Southern Africa tour with either G Adventures or Intrepid. Do you remember the name of the tour you did with G Adventures?
At the time it was called Southern Africa Overland! It was 28 days, starting in Cape Town South Africa turn up through Namibia, Botswana and Zimbabwe before coming back down to finish in Jberg! Def's recommend, one of my favourite trips to date!

Great video! Very soon Im going to Greece to photograph the dalmatian pelican. I am searching for some tips or general info about photographing pelicans. Your video happens to be one of the most informative:) I think that the take home message in terms of photography is to be aware of how big they are, try not to be overwhelmed by it and take advantage of their size:) Those at lake Kerkini are pretty tame too:)
