Satan is attacking America with tribalism to keep us in a Babel mindset. America has a calling for a reversal of the Tower of Babel. A nation of nations, returning to each other, understanding each other, working together to reach God under His blessing, under His authority and not in defiance of Him. We can be united and Jesus is the key.

Reading through near death experiences over the years, there has been a marked increase in those remembering a visit to hell in the past couple decades. One I learned of this weekend involved a church goer who saw a few people he had known from a mega church who seemed worldly righteous but had an attitude as described just before the 55-minute mark. He was given the task of coming back to warn his circle of friends.

A middle eastern shepherd wrote a book about Psalm 23 explaining that sheep will not lie down unless they perceive seven things. They will not relax if they don't know if water or their next bite of food is in the area. They cannot lie down with pests or predators or without comfort and security. When Jesus talked about a shepherd leaving the 99 to find the one, that one would be continually wandering farther and farther away due to its inability to settle down.

A story of a near death experience reveled that a woman was shown that every thought we have concerning another person actually has an effect on that person. Harboring animosity causes the other person to have that hatred to add to their already rough exterior. Jesus tells us to love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us. We are told that to hate anyone whom God loves is akin to murder. I have always thought that the phrase 'thoughts and prayers' somehow cheapened prayer, but the idea is that our thoughts should be more Holy than mere passing moments. Lord God, help me to remember this on Tuesday.

After a near death experience, one woman said she was astonished to hear that when we think badly about someone, that becomes part of that person. Checking this against scripture, we know that we are not to refer to someone as a fool, when we are angry at a person, we are guilty of murder, if we look lustfully at someone, we have committed adultery in our heart (may not have the same weight of the action, but Jesus tells us to realize our thoughts), we are not to gossip. Then there is that idea of praying for those who persecute us. Talk about a narrow path! (Of course, in the Psalms, David tried to call down God's wrath on his enemies, but he will end that Psalm in accepting God's sovereignty over the situation. Jesus was a lot more loving that we think we can be. It's a matter of responding rather than reacting. This is why the peace of God needs to be absorbed into us.)

My dear Pat, Oh how I'll miss you. I arrived in Oregon in 1968, knowing only one person (Linda) in the state - who was about to graduate and leave the US. Linda told me that there was a Liberian family in Portland. She communicated with you; and the next weekend I was on my way to Portland where I met your family, of which I became a part. It's been that way since. If I needed advice, you were always there. My children call you Grandma Pat. We'll never forget you. We know that you are dancing in the presence of God.
