How To Install New Garages In My F100
Just FYI, your audio is less than desirable.
My 12,000 # lift required a minimum of 5 inches of concrete, it appeared you didn't have close to that. Be careful you dpn't get killed working under that lift.
Paint and refurbish are typically not interchangeable words. One may be part of the other but they are not the same. Its like trouble codes and part numbers. They are not the same.
Thx for watching
The lift is a great addition to the shop!
Congratulations on the lift installation! We have one to install that was donated to us a while back and this will help.
It is great to have things donated! I can not believe what these things cost new. Thx for watching!
Good advice! Like the FCG on an ar15, if youre asking around about it on youtube you probably dont have the tools to do it right.
You're right, it's kinda like trying to remove a tooth at home...you need the right tools! Thx for watching!
I worked at a frame shop in the 80's we had a fixture to bend align those I beams, We never had any issues with breakage or even a comeback . I've done at least 100 of them myself. Those trucks do have a turning radius problem that scuffs tires built right into them.
Good advice! My Grandfather was a front end alignment man for decades and I remember him doing a few of those Ford trucks when I worked with him during the summer months while school was out. I don’t remember how he did it, but it was a pretty involved process. And he didn’t do but maybe 2 or 3 that I was there for. Those old WWII era mechanics knew how to fix pretty much anything! Good advice to let someone who knows what they’re doing have at it. He fixed many vehicles through the years that others had done for cheap and they were just a mess when they got to him. I think the older vehicles were done so different that a modern alignment shop wouldn’t even know how to begin.
Great video! A video that could very well save a life...... This video reminds me so much when I was around 17 years old and my Dad would see what I was up to and lecture me on what I was doing might get me killed. Sometimes you just got to bite the bullet and spend a little money keep from killing yourself or someone else. Again great video!
I agree with you, safety first! Thx for watching!
Hey, if it works, it works!!
What great hacks!!!
Thx for the kind words!
Brilliant!
Glad you enjoyed it and thx for watching!
Great tips and info, I know how much work making and publishing videos is. Keep at it hoss!

Great video Dad!! Lots of tips and tricks
Thanks 👍
👏👏👏
I have always wondered if those kits were any count. Simple enough.
In this case, it did a good job of sealing off the area against future damage but did little for the cosmetics. Thx for watching!!
Thank you for the video! I was about to ask you about the overspray on the seats. As I was writing the part about you covering the seats with the baby oil mixture came on in the video!! LOL!!
Great video!!
I have a 1972 f100, it has been lowered with lowering springs in the front, which caused negative camber, so I am going to go with 3inch drop beams, my question is what type of front springs do I need. Stock springs or explorer springs ??
I have explorer spring 92-94. They are worth a try, only $64 from rock auto. Thx for watching!
Thanks
Thx for watching!
Jody, hoping you are okay. We just recently got our power and internet back but your region got slammed far far worse. Hoping to hear from you sometime. All of us at Signalyard’s garage.
We came out ok and are doing fine. Our folks further up the hills need our prayers and help. Thx for your concern. I should have more content in a few days. Thx for watching!😊
A great way to re-purpose a hard case. Sometimes you can find them at a thrift store for little money. A couple of other thoughts - add a flashlight or two, a small one with a magnet and/or a hands-free head mount. Yeah, the air compressor has a light but you can't hold it in your teeth! Is there a way to use a tool roll to pack some of those tools? Those blow molded cases are nice, but they take up a lot of room. Thanks for posting. You've got me thinking...
I appreciate the input. I did not mention that as I have gotten older, I carry a small LED flashlight in my pocket and use it constantly in the shop. Thx for watching!
@@rustloversgarage Yup, me too. Been carrying a flashlight in my pocket for the past 40 years. Right nest to my Swiss Army knife! I seem to manage to use both almost every day. Cheers!
❤ you are always prepared!!
Yes I am!

Clarks Corvair in Mass. Is the answer for most of your parts for the Corvair spider. Shes a rare one ,good luck with her!
Thx for the Intel and thx for watching!
Knocked my front tooth out in 1969 while on emergency leave putting on brakes on 64 corvair. When I returned to Vietnam I had a gold tooth that was installed at fort mead and removed at Danang for fillings for other soldiers. Unreal circumstances always happened to me.
I hate to hear about your bad luck, but I will thank you for your service. Thx for watching!
The heater is going to trip you out, if it's the gasoline powered one.

Sell me the 49 to finance the corvair…👍😀
@momdad8771 the 49 may be for sale at some point. I need to know a little more about it before I would feel right selling it. Thx for watching!
It’s looking worst and worst every time I see it…sell sell sell…lol.
A Corvair is something I’ve never worked on.
@@LeftForDeadGarage it will be an adventure. Thx for watching!
I just now got around to watching this but you did mention some things that I wasn’t aware of. Thanks! I have made all my videos on either Apple iPhones or my iPad. Mine aren’t very elaborate and somewhat simple and candid, but that’s just my style. Thanks for sharing your knowledge. I heard the same kinds of things in college in the late ’80’s also but I had no idea what it would actually turn out like.
Modern tech is hard for me sometimes, but it has been fun learning learning.
Thx for watching
