Which tent should my nephew buy? Naturehike Cloud Up 2?
My nephew is using his fathers tent. It's big, heavy and bulky. Which tent do you think he should buy?

Wild Camping Mælefjell

Not my best Wild Camp. My shoes got wet, it was raining a bit. I woke up,,,3 something and just waited hours for the sun to come up. Waking up early and not being able to get to sleep again is a problem for me when wild camping. I need a more comfortable sleeping pad cause I easily get backpain.

A nice trip to Skorve, great weather but it's a steep climb.

I am going to reduce the weight of my backpack,,,or honestly, reduce 20kg of unnecessary weight.
Car Camping e-tron 55 in Norway, Haukelifjell.

A short camp with my "new" car. My feet tended to touch the hatch on the back but I slept fine. Could be better to have the sleeping pad at a bit of an angle, or back the car up a small incline, since the folded down seats you sleep on will push you towards the hatch.

My nephew takes my camera to document his adventure. Everything didn't go as planned and he had to get picked up. He feels like he failed. However he did not. He planned this trip for a long time, was well prepared, and acted correctly. He now walks with crutches and will get healed and ready for the next adventure.
Winter Camping with my Nephew
I brought my nephew on a winter camp. We had a lot of fun, but we also did a lot of stuff so filming was not so easy. Making food for both of us, stoves almost tipping over because of uneven ground. I was not organized enough and I had stuff everywhere. Setting up a network between our computers, installing the game, and melting a ton of snow because I did not bring enough water and so on. So f...
Wild Camping: More Fun Than Just Nature
I started wild camping to be in the nature. Specifically to wake up on top of a mountain, or other places I usually just hiked up to. But there is more to wild camping than just experiencing nature. There's more fun to be had.
My First Winter Camping - Building Insulation on Tent?

I have never been able to stay warm over night. Now I will insulate my tent as best as I can, from the roof and the ground. I refuse to be cold.
Testing the Trangia Mini and setting up my first Tarp

Finding my own way up. Off Trail Hiking.
I have looked at this mountain (Bindingsnuten) for many years but never got up there. It was supposed to be easy to follow the trail, but I lost it and found my own way. There was a lot more climbing I had to do than what the video shows. I got exhausted. But it was fun.
Wild Camping To Expensive - I Quit.
Wild Camping just just get more and more expensive as I need more and more new equipment to stay warm in colder weather. So I quit. Until it get's warmer that is. I notice the audio quality is not very good. I am also not happy with the video quality. I will try to improve these things.

DIY Rocket Stove instead of Jet Boil?
Why do I use my home made rocket stove instead of a jet boil, Trangia or anything else? Actually, I didn't have anything so I made something cheap, but I love my rocket stove. I would still love to try different types of camping stoves. Sound effects: freesound.org/people/Glaneur de sons/sounds/29727/ freesound.org/people/BockelSound/sounds/488627/

It's pretty. Maybe you can get a rooftop carrier for your scooter so you don't have to leave it in the wilderness. Does the car regulate the temperature inside while you are sleeping? I've read that some electric cars can do that.

    • @UncleOutdoors
      @UncleOutdoors 3 місяці тому

The e scooter is so heavy (29kg) I would struggle getting it on and off the roof. The car does not regulate the temperature like a tesla. The tesla has camping mode, but this one doesn't. There might be some tricks you can do to make the ac run the whole night but on this car the default is 30min when car is off.

He was going up to Himingen, then Gavlesjå then Grunningsdalen. He was supposed to go up to Mælefjell (rustjønnan) then a bit longer to our cabin, but at the start of Mælefjell he injured himself. I don't know about any website where I can share a specific route, but you could search for these places on norgeskart.no

Try using duck tape to secure the insulation in place? You could try polystyrene insulation

Insulation on top but no walls

  • @sergeyloverow2105
    @sergeyloverow2105 10 місяців тому

Good experimentation. I would just buy 4 season tent, insulate the floor and the walls with reflective aluminum blanket, lightweight fleece blankets and maybe put some dry leaves, pine needles, or straw if available under the tent floor for extra insulation and a tarp or a footprint for tent floor protection. Also a warm sleeping bag, heating vest/blanket that work on power bank and hot thermos. Never cook or use gas heaters inside the tent because you will suffocate since the air flow is reduced to trap warm air!

A small tent and a tarp and using Rockwool insulation.would be better put your tent uo cover with insulation then cover it with the tarp ... Toys r us sell...rubber mats that reflect heat for kids to play on in basements they are cheap.... Two sets may be required Or option two.....use straw bales to insulate the tent and the floor top or three bales would probably be quite adequate

Nice video! But I think your stove is not working correctly. Instead of a big orange flame, you should have small blue flames coming out of the small holes in the top of the stove. Maybe you were using the wrong type of alcohol? If you watch some other videos about the Trangia stove, you can learn to use it better.

    • @UncleOutdoors

Thank you. I had a blue flame when I tested it indoors. It's not just because there's some wind? I will compare ut to when others use it.
