this is true about a good fast medium mech as well. Ever seen a Cicada with a killer engine in it? those things MOVE; and have health to boot. all they need to do is run around in circles and shoot small pulse lazers at your kneecaps and then run off while the other assault mechs finish the job.

I've only played MW5, so whenever I see a light mech my king crab just 3 shots it with LBX/SRM spam. MWO must be filled with crackhead Black airforce energy mofos.

Each and every good light mech pilot I have ever met can weaponize crack head energy at the drop of a hat cause they all know that all it takes is one good leg hit and they might as well set their reactor to critical. That's not just a MWO thing that's a Battletech thing in general by the by and I love it.

As a career light pilot, I can atest to this, though usually its the other way around, the big guy usually runs screaming unless we grab them by the belt and don't let go til we die! XD

Yeah, that scene from Ninja Turtles does sum up how a light mech could pwn an assault mech just by speed alone.
