It's a French film called" RENDEZ VOUS DE JUILLET",1949.This took place in Saint-Germain( Paris ),The dancers were called "rat de cave",they loved be bop music! After USA,France was the country of Jazz and Swing!
@harvey1954 I'd have to agree with you. It's like a Dean Collins without enough room to do a Dean Collins. I thought you were the typical net troll who didn't know and so just gave you a basic rundown, my apologies
@harvey1954 This is called lindy hop, it was the first street dance and evolved into swing, twist, Jive, casino(Salsa), break dancing, club, hip-hop, dub, and rave. These guys aren't that good, check out frankie manning or helzapoppin
That's from the Dixieland revival in France that took place just after WW2. Swing had gone out of fashion and was replaced by bebop in the jazz world. The problem was that most swing players had no use for bebop so those that were unwilling to make the change started to bring Dixieland back. It only lasted for two or three years and then it also died out.
Merci pour le magnifique clip de video - De quel film cet abstrait est-il? What movie was this clip from? Thank you so much. A ce que je vois, nous avons rien invente puisque les gens dansaient deja si bien dans ce temps, Merci beaucoup, Lancelot
Lovely Charleston! Your dancing is very much like those of the flappers during the Roaring Twenties! I'll probably learn to dance it from watching this! Thanks for sharing!

So, if they're Brits, how come they're speaking French? I suppose they might possibly be Canadian, but I'd guess (yes!) French....
You guy are a fucking moron.
What is the first song they are playing? Sounds like great Dixieland jazz.

I love this video! The song and the moves are so whimsical and nonchalant. What is the name of the song?
This awesome Slovene workmanship makes me proud! Good job you had so many directors there to help eh?
FYI, that's called "Lindy Hop"
