The Guide is taking listeners on tours of Golarion; his knowledge of its landmarks and history seeks to engender immersion into a fantastical, vibrant world. You are most welcome to join him on this journey as it unfolds.

Conquest of Bloodsworn Vale - GM Tips | Pathfinder 2e
Welcome to a video recording of the Guide's first live stream, covering tips for running the Paizo module "Conquest of Bloodsworn Vale" in Pathfinder 2e. This is a different format than normal, and will not be replacing normal videos, but rather serves to help other GMs who might be interested in running the module in the future.
A lot of love and appreciation is sent towards the channel Third Action (www.youtube.com/@ThirdAction) run by the wonderful Jason, whose own videos produced in a similar style covering experiences converting and running Rise of the Runelords inspired this contribution to the community.

Welcome to the largest woodland expanse in Avistan, stranger. The Verduran Forest is mostly under Taldor's jurisdiction, but Andoran's rather libertarian attitude to regulating how its people engage with it has left its smaller portion far more dangerous for an adventurer. Wanting a Linnorm Kings lore video.
Another detail about Geb. Up until recently, it was actually ruled by someone else. That being Arazni. She was once the herald of Aroden, sent in by her god to fight Tar-Baphon, who did awful things to her and then threw her corpse at the human armies who rose against him. Aroden then replaced her with Iomedae, and everything was cool until Geb did a little trolling, stole Arazni's remains, and resurrected her as a brainwashed lich queen to rule his kingdom so he didn't have to. And that went on for a while until the Whispering Tyrant came back, and Arazni got so pissed when she heard about it that she regained free will, told Geb to stuff it, and left to eventually become a core deity of Golarion.
Oh that is really good! Thank you so much for inspiration
I appreciate the approach, it is quite funny. But the "funny" map you use must have been made by a US citizen, because 1. The map producer lacks a lot of real world and history knowledge, several ingame countries do not fit the association. 2. They describe Andoran as "America! Fuck yeah!!". Nothing could be farther from the truth, in fact Druma is the real US - it is all about business and money, controlled by a few very rich people.
you on blue sky
Thank you, very entertaining!
It pleases me to no end to hear you bring up Occarin's population quirk. Such potential for the traveling spell caster to make use of.
Congrats on coming back! I love your lore videos. And yeah, theres big conversion guides like Crimson Throne, Rise of the Runelords as mentioned but not a lot of support for smaller adventures of old. People don't speak of early pathfinder before it was a game system and it's not often covered to the same degree that Ed Greenwood's setting is. It's a damned shame as its a damned shame more people aren't converting some of the smaller adventures. I actually am somewhat interested in this and trying something like this with the early products.
Great video1 You still going to do a travel one on Falcon's Hollow? Would love to see that as we are playing the updated Crown of the Kobold King with a few things from the 1st ed modules put back in.
When you're not ready to jump into Starfinder, you can dip your toes into Robot Flaming Laser Swords.
This was very good
HE'S BACK !
I enjoyed the fumble decks! Though I think each adversary having a thematic fumble, or a homebrew on the fly fumble might be fun
Thank you as always for your wisdom, O Guide. If anyone from Paizo reads this, my only ask is to please make a series of Roll20 prefabs for "Wrath of the Righteous" like you did for "Kingmaker." The Owlcat Games adaptation has inspired many people to want to run the campaign in tabletop, myself included. You're leaving money on the table, guys. ❤
Absolutely fantastic! I cannot wait to continue my exploration of the Absalom and the world! New to PF2, super helpful! Thank you! Keep up the amazing work!
Super well done. Thank you so much!

Great vid
Love hag content, and yours is of excellent quality
any interest do this sort of thing for Tian Xia?
Fck you are hilarious xD love your vid, exactly the kind of lore video i was looking for, because they usually are way to dry for my taste
Galt is the birthplace of freedom....they then committed infanticide immediately. Andoran kept it alive.
These videos are excellent, thank you!
@theloretour ! Old GM, new to PF2e, and a lukewarm lover of Golarion. But this video... well done, sir. Well done. Your delivery and style made me love the city of Otari and want to explore it. This caused a cascaded effect, making me go through other relevant videos and devouring those as well. You have greatly helped my enjoyment and knowledge of the setting. Thank you for your hard work, and you, sir, have earned a sub!
I hope this video and channel gets the views it deserves
Excellence. You should allow yourself some pride.
You know we have a similar creature here on earth. It’s colloquially known as the ALASKAN BULL WORM!
Great video, Sir Guide! This video is very useful as a DM! Amazing content as always!
Languages is one of my favorite topics when concerning fantasy worlds. One of your best videos yet! Thumbs up.
Excellent presentation of your content. Choice of background music, art, your voice style, enunciation, clarity of your audio. Very professional. I prefer your lore presentations above all the other channels that I subscribe to. Eagerly awaiting your next video.
I am drawn to Golarion for the same reason i am drawn to Sigil. Great explanation.
Before we reach Oregent, I wish we cross paths again in the future as I very much enjoy the tours and I would love to explore Varisia.
Very useful 😊
Think you can do one of these for Tian Xia?
Definitely! This kind of video takes a lot longer than my usual ones, so I need to take my time with it. Still, expect to see one at some point!
The most eloquent Nazgul on you tube.
The Guide merely likes his privacy. I'm fairly sure he's still mortal. (Though with wizards, things can get blurry.)
Dosen't the Mawangi expanse have its own language?
The Mwangi Expanse has a trade-tongue called Polyglot (or sometimes just "Mwangi"). It is a fusion of dozens of the dialects and local languages of the people who live there. It did not make the list because of its unique status as a trading language not typically used outside a commercial context. Well worth considering though for a budding Mwangi trader!
I am looking forward to your inevitable lectures on the various Planes more than any other subject. ❤
I can't wait to be able to discuss the planes in more detail!
@@theloretour please make a Pathfinder Lore video for my favorite pathfinder hag known as The Sweet Hag please
Two fun facts I discovered whilst researching this one: 1. Kelish (the language) has nothing to do with the Kellids (the people). Despite the similar spellings and pronunciations, the two are unrelated. 2. Osiriani is also officially considered an uncommon language, but in this instance I disagree. It is the most widely spoken language in Garund, doubtless preferred by many in the southern Inner Sea to Taldane, and must have at least as many speakers as, say, Halfling. I think GMs wouldn’t go astray by making it Common.
I'm sad that you didnt go into more detail about Geb! It is pretty unique by being an entire nation ruled and populated by undead
Many thanks and beautifully done if I may say so. So often Lore is overlooked and as a player it helps to have some background in which to flesh out a character. I would love to know what software you're using.
I love how you described Newspapers as if they're as likely to be novel to an audience who may or may not be familiar with Pathfinder as you described Leshy in the Ivy District episode.
This is a far more digestable way to learn about the details of this setting than wikis or published material.
Welcome Back
I theorycrafted a Gnome Arcane Trickster who knew ~20 languages.
Wondering where you got that fantastic detailed map of the Inner Sea Region.
I found it from this Reddit thread, friend! <www.reddit.com/r/Pathfinder_RPG/comments/cmz9n1/giant_map_of_golarion/> Credit goes to the cartographer Rob McCaleb.
Good to have you back, O Guide! I confess I had worried for your wellbeing. ❤
Glad you’re back!
Awesome topic! I love it! Very informative! Thanks!
Always a pleasure!
Thank you! Will you ever make a video on the human/local languages: Hallit, Skald and Varisian? I'm playing a character from Brevoy (Kingmaker adventure) and I chose Hallit as a language he knows, as that seemed like a reasonable guess. But where are these "local" languages spoken daily and where can they sometimes be understood?
More language videos are on their way! There are a lot of human languages, many extremely niche, but I’ll try to cover as many as I can. Regarding your character, I think Hallit is the best choice there. In a nutshell, Hallit is a Kellid language most likely (of those three) to be found in Brevoy. Skald is mostly spoken in the far north-west Lands of the Linnorm Kings, and despite being a human language, actually uses Dwarven (i.e. Petran) runes in writing. Varisian is mostly relegated to Varisia far west of Brevoy across the Mindspin Mountains. Hope that’s useful!
@@theloretour : Very useful! Thank you. ♥
