I never noticed that in the OG game, the city was called both "Forgotten Capital" and "Forgotten City", depending on where you opened the menu in the city. I always thought it was called the "Forgotten City", so I was surprised but glad they went with "Forgotten Capital" for this remake, it just sounds way more grand and foreboding.

Honestly though, it's little moments like this that makes me love this series. They didn't have to add any of this scene. Nobody would have known if it was missing. Didn't have to add the bird doing cloud's trademark shrug, didn't have to add a new rendition of yuffie's theme, but they did. This game deserves so much more praise and love. Fans clearly made this game

Just randomly finding this again reminded me that Rebirth probably treated Gilgamesh with the most reverance since FFV. I don't think there's ever been a game to give him not 1, not 2, but 5 new arrangements of his theme (1 for a cutscene, 3 for different battles and this). Kinda makes me hope they do a similar thing with another FF character in Part 3 who can dimension jump. idk, Cloud of Darkness?

Am I the only one who finds it interesting that the madrigal part at 6:37 has the voice genders switched? Normally, the male chorus sing the "Veni, veni, venias, Ne me mori facias" while the female chorus sing the "gloriosa, generosa". Love the change of pace for this number. Almost symbolic to the twist that part of the game presents.
