Robot Singularities | Getting started with Lensmaster
Переглядів 9963 роки тому
The advanced motion planner in Lensmaster handles complex robot wrist singularities internally to maximize the usability of the robot workspace. This is particularly useful for smaller table-top robots with limited-mechanical reach that can't easily avoid singularities. Camerabotics is a developer of advanced motion control software and custom robotic rigs for cinema and photography. Learn more...

Hello! I'm just getting started, began learning your software. I'm coming from Cinema 4D being motion designer, I animate cameras much and want to transfer my skills into real world. As I found out long ago, manual direct control is a bad idea, making such animation organic is painful. Usually I use null-rig - camera is placed into a null (placeholder object), there it stays shifted from a local 0 coordinates by Z axis (optical camera axis). So it looks right onto null. Than I can rotate the null, move it and scale it (which transfers into dolly action). This is a simple, but ultimate rig! Here I see there's more of a direct control by individual axis, but with IK. Isn't there a way to replicate such kind of rig here? Or, maybe, import a motionpath from Cinema and tweak it?
