Our first calm anchorage. A beautiful place to explore. Great place to meet other sailors at the Boathouse Bar, with a daily happy hour and an all day happy hour on Saturdays. Great walks, villages and even schools close by. A place you could stay for a long, long time!
Part 4: Navadra Island to Mantaray Island SD 480p

Leaving a rally anchorage is always a good thing! Another leisurely day of motoring north to Mantaray Island where the scientists study the manta and give daily talks about their findings. Beautiful unspoilt coral reefs, so shallow that they are almost exposed at low tide. We hung with the locals waiting for the rays, but alas they didn't show up. Only the dolphins came to bid us farewell.

Here's another slice of life in tropical Fiji. Our cruise from Port Denarau up to Musket Cove where lots of yachts anchor & enjoy the Fijian hospitality at the Sand Bar from midday onwards. We dived off Moanaroa and swam a few metres to the reef to snorkel with all the colourful tropical fish. Enjoy!

Exceptional episode sailing a Chico 30 from Caledonia to Auckland under a rough sea and massive swell condition. Richard, Lynne & Bear show us their knowledge of both seamanship and decisive sailing technic under conditions of duress. Glad for you both for presenting this enjoyable sea passage and wish you the best afloat.

We need to cattch up in NZ! We look forward to filming outbadventures this winter as we escape NZ again. Imminent new grandchildren are changing the mix a bit! Moanaroa will keep sailing on!

Hey, you guys have made me want to do this as well. Perhaps a silly question. Could one do it on a 30 foot boat with an enjin?
Hi Michelle, NZ to Fiji on a launch of 30feet wouldn’t work. You’d need too carry too much fuel. A launch bought in Fiji would take you to most places if you picked the right weather and the diesel buying stops.
