Ice Road Trucking in East Tennessee
1/2024 Snow wheeling in my TRD Pro Tacoma. We don’t normally get this much snow in East Tennessee so my Tacoma saw snow for the first time, this year and it’s a 2017 with less than 30k miles on it. The roads were a lot steeper and slick and packed ice than the camera shows but my truck held fast and only slipped a little. I did use 4x4, but never needed to use crawl control at all. No mail deliveries or UPS, trash or hardly any other vehicles made it up our roads in a week but thanks to my Taco I was able to go to town and make it to a couple doctors appointments and store runs. Thanks Toyota.

Sea Eagle STS10 Frameless Raft Box Opening

So, the summer of 2022 I was looking for a boat that I could take anywhere without a trailer and after lots of research I found The Sea Eagle brand, that is very tough and durable. Full disclaimer, I'm not sponsored by them or anyone else.

Finding Nemo, part 3

After getting out of the tunnel we drove around for a while on the trails and there were some pretty deep mud holes that Cody wanted to drive through, So so I opted to ride with him and park my truck since his is lifted and mine isn’t and we didn’t know how deep the holes were. Unfortunately I didn’t get that footage but I got a nice view of the nice river spot at the end of the trail. thank...

    I have the stealth stalker 10 as well....great lil rig.....I just sanded the floor boards....coated them in penetratiing epoxy.....cleaned them up and installed eva foam on them....the floors get hottttt.....now it's awesome to be in too...I was really surprised on how rugged they are.....like I hit mine with claw end of a hammer a few times pretty damn hard and it didn't even leave a mark.......now I'm thinking of what I can do to the bottom to increase it's durability some....like some runners along the bottom or coat it with something.....

    Thanks for the video. I just ordered mine. Im trying to figure out how you get it back on those wheels from the water if you are by yourself to bring it back in to your vehicle. How long does it take you from the time you get back to deflate and get it back in your vehicle?

    @koalafan1576. It literally says ‘ you pay ‘ the yellow amount ( promotional price). The higher. Umber is the cost of buying each item on the boat individually

    In the end, where does the negative cable go?

    • @easttnliving
      @easttnliving Рік тому

      On the driver side under the hood on the front fender area next to the battery, you will see a stock black cable bolted there, which is a factory ground. You can add as many grounds as you want there.

    On the website, looking at the boat packages, you see Total: $2,398 (for example) then below you see in yellow package price: $1,699. In this package situation do I pay the total or the price in yellow? I’m looking to save to by a boat and need to know the estimated price to budget for.

    This is the exact solution I have been looking for, and its perfect that I won't have to drill into the cover, thanks! How has it held up? Has it weakened the diamond back cover struts at all over time?

    This is crazy. For a second I literally thought I was watching a clip from the ice road truckers documentary.

    • @easttnliving
      @easttnliving Рік тому

      Yes, it was crazy and a little scary at times because the high wind was shaking the truck like crazy. So I actually pulled the truck forward and turned it to the right to get the wind at my back and then it got stuck. I worked at it for several hours, rocking it back and forward and got it unstuck and backed up some more and got stuck again as it was still snowing. Strangely enough after a couple hours, it quit snowing and the sun came out and I took that opportunity to go borrow a snow shovel and cleared around my tires and was able to pull out and got the hell out of there.

    Pretty cool, like the way it attaches. I would like it even more if it was adjustable as far as height. If it could be adjusted a little higher than the cab ... I could easily lay a kayak on it etc.

      They actually do make a taller one in the same model that cost a little bit more it’s 18” instead of 12”. chassisunlimited.com/thorax-bed-rack-system-diamond-back-cover-2005-2020-tacoma.html

      @@Ram-vt3rm The light bar is amazing I have to say, when I turn it on, on my dark streets, it’s like turning on the light switch in a dark bedroom. Doesn’t put out any wind noise that I can tell. It has brackets on each end that fit perfectly between the Prinsu rack.

    Did you have to use any after market brackets...or just the supplied Baja brackets.... thanks

    • @easttnliving
      @easttnliving 3 роки тому

      The brackets came with the light bar if that’s what you are referring too but I acquired the the whole set up used. Only thing I had to purchase separate was the oem Baja wiring harness that came with two switches. One for the amber backlighting and the other for the spot lights. Thanks for looking. I will post more later as it comes along.

    Awesome truck! What kind of button layout do you use for your light bar?

    • @easttnliving
      @easttnliving 3 роки тому

      It’s a Baja Designs light bar and since I acquired it used from Mike at LLOD it didn’t come with the original wiring harness so I ordered it from Baja designs and it comes with two switches, one for the amber and one for the spotlight and I mounted those in my dash. Thanks for checking it out.

    • @easttnliving
      @easttnliving 3 роки тому

      These were Proline4x4 in Miami, Fl but I don’t recommend them if you watch the video I talked about how they made the passenger side TRD pro logo backwards said they would fix it and then I never heard from them again and they won’t respond to anything.

    Nice looking truck, I see similarities with mine. What kind of rock sliders are those? I would like to change my step bars with something like yours. Thanks for the video, very helpful.

    • @easttnliving
      @easttnliving 3 роки тому

      I don’t recommend them only because they put myTRD Pro logo on upside down on the passenger side and then offered to fix it and I never heard back from them again and they won’t answer any communication. But they are good rock sliders, I have to say that. The company obviously doesn’t do any good quality control nor do they honor their work after delivery. Proline4x4
