As a matter of fact right now i am noticing more and more female truck drivers.Black Female truck drivers are a double minority and that means when you start your own business you can get access to more capital in more places look up how many more options are available for double minorities.

Trucking jobs are good. Companies that work in the oil industry, or actually working in the petroleum industry hire felons. There are a lot of service companies that support the drilling and fracking companies. Be forewarned. This industry is either feast, or famine. Put some of your paycheck in savings. Because there are slow times. Like when a rig or frack moves from one location to another. It takes a few days to break down the equipment and then to get set up at the new location. But be willing to work. If a person likes drinking alcohol. It’s advisable to give it up. The reason for this a CDL driver in some cases are always considered as being on call status. I’ve seen some drivers starved out. Starved out is a term for getting rid of unproductive employees, or those that stir up a lot drama at work What happens is the company doesn’t call them back, or they only call them if they really need the extra help People that fall into this group are 1. individuals that have a don’t care attitude, 2. or if the dispatcher calls the employee on their day off, providing the employee has hours to drive, in some cases, the employee will say that they went to the club and had a few drinks. The dispatcher will then go down his list and call other drivers to see if they can come in. The individual that said he had been drinking during his off time is looked at as being unreliable. So unfortunately the can wind up being starved out. Trust me being honest is the best policy. If an individual has a CDL. Treat that license like it’s made of Gold. Because if a person gets a DUI its next to impossible to get that CDL back 3. Leave the prison attitude at the prison gate. Employers are concerned about making money not babysitting adult juvenile delinquents. Employees that come to work trying to act like the shot caller and stirring up drama. Will either be fired or starved out. I’ve ran into good workers who have felony convictions. But they were let go. Because of their mouth and actions. For some individuals Apparently being in prison was the high point of their life. Street creds. Don’t impress employers. And an individual needs to be able to work with other people. In the oil industry many employees are from all ethnicities and a lot are immigrants or refugees. From countries around the world. So if an individual is interested in making good money. Don’t be a jerk. Don’t get hung up on who is of what political party, or their religious beliefs, or ethnicity. Also a lot of these oil companies provide either free company housing, or discount housing. Company housing is for single people not families. This can be like sharing a 2 bedroom apartment with 1 to 4 roommates. And a lot of companies are willing to train. Halliburton which is a frack company . Has a some really great benefits. One benefit is a housing stipend. It pay $800.00 a month you can pay your rent, or mortgage payment with this plus they offer $45.00 a day per diem. Which will pay for your lunch . With the frack companies they have a bus that shuttles the crew to and from the job site. So all a person has to do is get to work on time to catch the bus These crews work 2 weeks straight the shifts are 12 hours a day. After being on duty for 2 weeks they are off for 1 week before coming back on duty again. Also these frack crews move from one state to another If you’re hired on to a frack company. Be prepared to travel. The frack companies pay a little more for the crews that are working in North Dakota and Montana. This may be because of the remote location. A lot of people don’t want to work in these 2 states, and this due to frigidly cold winters where the temperature can be -40° . The other is the communities in these states don’t have a lot to offer for entertainment Such as nightclubs or shopping malls. If you’re lucky you might have access to a Walmart. Some people who in these areas have chosen to drive over 100 miles to go to a community that has a mall. One pastime for some people in this area is to go fishing, also see some of the historical sites. There are casinos on the Indian reservations but I don’t suggest gambling your paycheck away. Some truck drivers in the oilfield in what they call the Bakken are making over $100,000.00 a year And how they make this money is they answer their phone when work calls, and they go to work and do a good job. And the guys that are making 100 grand a year are company drivers That’s right company drivers not owner operators. I will also let you know about the worst job in the oilfield The job title is called swamper. A swamper is a janitor. Before a drilling rig or frack can leave a location every bit of equipment has to be cleaned. This is so they don’t leave a trail or contaminants from one location to another. All the waste is hauled to a disposal. The swamper cleans the inside of tanks, pits, bins, hoses, and anything else the customer wants cleaned. Swampers work with mud mixed with petroleum, and other chemicals, be prepared to be soaked to the bone from spraying water in tanks there is a lot of physical labor involved in this job. There is shoveling mud scrubbing walls of tanks, climbing into tight spaces. Working in all types of extreme weather winter is the worst but the pay for swampers varies from company to company the pay can be $13.00 - $24.00 an hour with over time after 40 hours in a week but with swamping the hours can be long the crew is there until the job is finished In some cases crews have been on location and working for as long as 48 hours straight. The reason they are working these marathon hours is because the company can’t keep employees. This is the type of company to stay away from. A company that has their act together and cares about their employees will switch crews on at 12 intervals. One company I worked for our Operations Manager did time in federal prison. He used to be involved with organized crime. But after prison he changed his life around, and I’ve heard success stories like this from several people in this industry. Keep making these videos And good luck to anyone who is looking for better job opportunities

It depends on the felony. The TSA website lists the disqualifying felonies. I think it’s like murder, espionage, drug trafficking, etc. But if you have a felony for burglary or grand theft or domestic violence, those are not disqualifying. The disqualifying felonies for hazmat are very serious felonies that the majority of the population will not have.

    • @BW-kv9wj

@@tonyjones6948 I’m not sure about that my friend. That crime could be on the disqualified list. You may have to pull up the TSA website and look at HAZMAT disqualified crimes list. If it’s on there, I think you can write a letter explaining that it was a long time ago and that you have changed your life and you now provide for your family and those days of the past we’re when you young and stupid and you learned your lesson. And those days are ancient history. I’ve seen guys here on UA-cam who have got waivers. You can search UA-cam how they did it and who they wrote their letter to. Just search HAZMAT felony waiver or letter, etc. I forget what I saw it listed under. Good luck.
