You’ll see colorful drag queens, along with dancing osos (bears) and vaqueros! The vibrant parade and celebration features lively performances, and heartfelt speeches that promote unity and acceptance. Immerse yourself in the electrifying atmosphere as thousands come together to dance, listen to music, and be inspired by messages of inclusion and equality. We film the parade primarily from the start at the Angel of Independence (Ángel de la Independencia), but it continues on through Paseo de la Reforma, Avenida Juárez, Eje Central Lázaro Cárdenas, 5 de Mayo, Palacio de Bellas Artes, and ends at the Zócalo or Plaza de la Constitución.

Siempre le dan dicho orgullo pero este 2024 le dicen el pride, aunque eso si no entiendo la marcha del orgullo o el pride.. porque eso no aparece una marcha o algo por el estilo, parece mas bien un carnaval, soy gay pero no estoy de acuerdo con esto... me gustaria ir a experimentar pero lo que se ve parece un carnaval y no deberia de llamarse marcha o pride.. orgullo de que? orgullo de ser gay?
Aunque no se muestra en este video, había cientos de personas marchando al comienzo del desfile. El significado del orgullo depende del individuo. Es un momento para ser libre de expresarse.

Did Mexican ancient civilizations , Mayas, Aztecs, Incas , have gay parade?
That's an interesting question, but my guess would be no.
No, but many indigenous Mexicans recognize a “third gender” (las muxes) and pronouns in their language do not differentiate gender. So, there was no discrimination based on gender nor on sexuality. In Oaxaca, there is an annual celebration of this aspect of their culture, but it isn’t a “pride parade” as such.
Incas are in South America.

New to this, what’s the theme? Dog tag tea- no idea.
It's a military theme. A dog tag is a common term for a specific type of identification tag worn by military personnel. A tea dance is now typically an afternoon venue/place for meeting other gay men. At this tea dance, everyone was given dog tags to wear with colored stickers to identify who/what they were looking for. Thanks for commenting!

This cruise was charted by Atlantis Events. Atlantis provides their own DJs and lighting, so you won't find this type of party on regular RCL Odyssey of the Seas sailings. Thanks for asking!
