Try to keep alignment for neat job.

Proper alignment is needed to fix the coupling ends of the pipe piece.

Collars of the pipe piece ends tighten by means of nut and bolts.

Is this type of clamp is applicable for 30.25 inch O.D. I want to use it to store the water leakage in the pipe gaps the gaps is about 25 mm and the flange size is equel to the pipe of. Both are same old. If ok please send me all data sheet and max. Pressure and temp.

Great commentary except for one part..The first one that was taken out wasn’t a butterfly valve. It was a gate valve. Butterflies are identifiable by the inside of the pipe and the offset valve nut.

That old Pipe Value was a GATE VALVE not a Butterfly Value......The RED PART on the New Pipe is BUTTERFLY Value..And on the Two ends of the New Pipe those things are Called DRESSER COUPLINGS....You slide the Dresser Coupling on the Pipe then put the Pipe in place then slide the coupling to the Center of the end of the Pipe...Then start tightening the bolts....The coupling is Tapered and has a Rubber Gasket in it....You just keep tightening it and the coupling will Squeeze the Rubber part Making a tight Seal..

How does the water stopper allow services not to be interrupted? There are services that are fed between the valves.

Although the manufacturer does not recommend these can be used on ACP. Just torque with care and don’t go any tighter than needed to seal.

Well so I just a hymax fail on a commercial job with a 6” water main pipe. Probably $20k in damages plus whatever the owner decides to sue me for, let’s see how good of a “warranty” Krausz you have.

The best fix for our situation is a three inch encapsulation fitting, but no one that I can find makes that in a three inch size, they start out at 4" and up, be cool if someone would design a stainless wrap style repair that would wrap around the bell and seal off

OK, we are trying to find some kind of wrap that will place over the leaking bell, due to valve distancing and an extremely long flush route, we don't want to open the pipe, much better for us to leave pressurized with no interruption of service or water loss

Ive never seen that style of sleeve before, is it retained on the DI nipple? Why not use megalugs or another mechanical joint style fitting?

we still use the pvc bump coupling repair, very seldom tho because of the efficiency of the hymax, speeds things up considerably,

hey Josh, was wondering if the hymax non restraint can be reused after being in service then taken back out, had a situation where the hymax leaked, but was due to poor backfill, pipe settled and put the coupling in to much of a bind, installed all new materials to fix leak, hated to not be able to reuse after initial tightening

excellent product, we use this product very often in our distrabution system, has never failed, easy to install, very very good product
