@davidsimmons9763 Have you ever heard of the Shenandoah River? In case you haven’t, it flows through eight Virginia counties and two West Virginia counties which the Shenandoah Valley was named after. Warren is one of the Virginia counties which includes Front Royal.

I've lived outside of Richmond for 25 years, am originally from Illinois, and agree with everything you say. Lets add the way these native Virginian's are, with their talk of Yankees. After 25 years I still don't feel I fit in with them. If the DHDC is in charge of expanding internet that will be screwed up for sure, I have first hand knowledge of how underhanded that department is. And the data centers are being put in EVERY county in this state, despite what the people want. Every politician, even your local supervisor is bought out...look what they did to Good. It used to be nice here 25 years ago, the properties and taxes were cheap, I wouldn't move here today. My kids are grown now and moved to other states, I'm ready to do the same. Illinois's winters have turned mild, my main reason for moving down here, and I'm ready to return.

My mom was born in Calhoun county wv Summerville her middle name was summers i visited there once as a kid the town had no paved roads and a dirt road around the courthouse really looked like it hadn't changed in a hundred years beautiful country i think alot about moving there but its beautiful where i live in ga i think i might go next year for a visit i might even look at property while there as long as theres fishing im happy

I have lived in northern Virginia for many years. I can see the very negative effect of the open borders and the other leftist policies and crimes. I am very seriously thinking about moving out of the area now before it becomes just like: Baltimore, Santa Barbara, Denver, Detroit, New York, Portland, D.C., etc. My community right now is still what I would consider mostly safe. Looking at history I am very concerned about the future due to leftist/communist, tyrannical policies and law enforcement, etc., Too many parts of the USA the mental illness, treason, lack of ethics, lack of understanding, facts, reality, and science,are spreading like an aggressive, malignant disease. The other problem is the school systems. Here are seemingly too concerned about pushing: mental illness, racism, all the general leftist policies versus focusing 100% on education and producing students that are ready to be productive, positive influences on society.

Wasn’t Thomas Jefferson one of the schools that got caught being racist? Weren’t they the one that tried to keep Asian and white kids from going to college, even though the White and Asian kids were more qualified than the Races that they pushed to the front.

It's really a good thing you like WV, I would hate to see a video of a state you didn't like. Had I never been to West Virginia, and seen this video, I would surely steer clear of the place. But as a life long resident of WV, I know better.

Front Royal is NOT in The Shenandoah Valley! It is on the north end of Page Valley. Shenandoah Valley is everything west of The Massanutten Mountain. And east of North Mountain. No more than that! Everyone wants to be called Shenandoah Valley so they can cash in.

I moved to West Virginia and it took me a year and a half to find a decent job. I still have an hour drive to work but my income and benefits can’t be even close from my last employer. I haven’t noticed anything special for cost of living bonuses but more taxes for a vehicle every year like it a luxury item to own a car.

Very popular here in Maryland to buy vacation land in West Virginia, if there was a bigger job market id move tomorrow and would love to retire there.

I’m two minutes in and won’t continue. No county in Virginia contains a city. Period. Also, you had the City of Fairfax highlighted instead of Fairfax County. They are completely separate from one another and the City of Fairfax is independent (as are all Va cities) and is a county equivalent.

There is a lot of local corruption in the state especially with municipalities and county governments. Most elected officials have never read the consitution or have any understanding of it beyond the second admendment. Newspapers and broadcast media are often told to only report positive stories about government and not question authority. Sounds like downtown Moscow. Mass transit systems are virtually nonexsistant.Bad roads.

Theres a huge misconception about WV. I bout a 1980, 5 Bed house on Main St, waterfront for $40K, cash Moved from Vegas. All I see is happy ppl with huge lads/houses paid for and debt free, with No Fences, camaras or iron gate. Most ppl went to Collage. WV doesn't play the Real State buying/selling game. WE HAVE NO HOMLESS PPL!!! But that's ok, we are The Best Kept Secret in USA 🤫😅
