Glen Sannox, before and after... Spot the difference
This little tin can is still not in service after 7 years. The Titanic was built and in service in 3 years 1 month. They could have built 2 Titanic's in the time these jokers have been bickering about design changes. The Titanic cost around £7.5 million, about £200 million in today's money. Check out how much this little toy has cost so far !! And before someone blames the pandemic, the Sannox was due to enter service before the pandemic was ever heard of. Hadrian's wall was built quicker in AD122 than the Glen Sannox in AD2017. World war 1 was over in 4 years, world war 2 was over in 6 years. Less time than this little dinghy has taken to earn a penny. Shall I go on? Yeah, why not? The USS IOWA was ready to rock-n-roll in 2 years 8 months. So, let's hear another round of those excuses and buck passing guys.
This little tin can has taken 7 years and still not in service. The Titanic was built and in service in 3 years 1 month.
So what do you think of the hard work put into capturing the drone footage?
@stevemcintosh5322 Brilliant.
@@ivorjizzload5643 Thanks. That's appreciated 🙂
@@stevemcintosh5322 My sincere apologies not remarking on the drone footage first, before my rant about the Glen Sannox. Superb footage and a credit to the world of film. 👍
@@ivorjizzload5643 That's ok, I understand peoples frustration on the matter and most folk don't realise im freelance and work for myself and ask me lots of questions about the vessel that im unable to answer. 😁
Looks fantastic Is it still on trials or broken down as this was 8 month's ago and not in service
Thanks. But unfortunately I dont know and cant answer your question as I don't work for the company. Im a professional Drone Pilot, and work freelance.
@stevemcintosh5322 I live here on Arran and was a bit sarcastic as the ferry is both late and over budget Thanks nice work with the drone
😁 Thanks very much. All I can say is that it's not that long now, I dont think. I visit Arran a few time a year and hoping its in service by the next time I visit.
8 months ago and still not in service. Its a joke great footage though
Im a drone pilot. Its all about capturing the footage, thanks for the compliment.
@@stevemcintosh5322 which you did excellently
The 'isle of Arran' has more external passenger space, wonder why is was cut back on this vessel.
And I understand that it has broken down and will need 4 month to fix!
I have no idea on how long it would take to fix as im a (self employed) Professionasl Drone Pilot and not en engineer im afraid, 👍🏾
Outstanding job Man well done
Thanks very much Graham 😁👍🏾
Cracking footage
Thanks very much Phil 😁👍🏾
And still not fit enough to be delivered or put into service! I doubt it will see service anytime soon
Great drone footage though.. took a lot of skill to capture those manoeuvres, whilst standing outside on the upper deck.
Would the stabalizers be used in high speed turns.
I can only assume so, I think that's what they are designed for. However, I was only the drone pilot, there to capture its manoeuvres. Sorry Ian.
The ferry looks good, you did a great job filming the sea trials.
Thank very much Martin, I really appreciate the comment. Just trying my best to provide a small amount of visual entertainment, it was hard going but very rewarding.
Which engine was it using.
I haven't a clue to be honest, ~Im just a professional Drone Pilot . Sorry😁
How much did this boat cost😮😂😂
Yep. It was very difficult composing and capturing those drone images, and took a wee while to edit. So thanks for the compliment. 🙂
Eh’ it’s a ship, not a boat, and it cost approximately the same amount as your average royal coronation ceremony, so very good value all-round.
Fab video, well done........she's looking great. I wasn't a fan of the sloping paintwork when the Loch Seaforth first had it, but it's defo growing on me. Looking forward to her arriving on the Arran run.
Thanks Allan, 🙂 It means ive got my composition and editing to a decent standard. Thanks very much 😁👍🏾
I doubt you will see it in service anytime soon! It’s a White Elephant
It looks terrible, its all deformed due to being sat so long
Look at my website and what I represents, it's not about what the vessel looks like, it's all about my skill as a drone pilot and my editing skills. So either make a constructive comment or none at all.
Congratulations... it is good to see that ships are still being built in Scotland....! Good on you guys!
Nice work Steve
Thanks 😁👍🏾 13k likes on your footage already, in 24hrs, Brill.
@stevemcintosh5322 Thanks Steve, yes just seen viewing figures, a lot of negative comments on there unfortunately.
@@jimph1 It really annoys me that some people can't look at the post and realise, this is mainly about a Drone pilots flying, composition & editing skills. Instead, they have very little understanding of the term 'constructive criticism' and target their OWN political agenda. Anyway, chin up, well done on the present ratings & safe flying 👍🏾😁
@stevemcintosh5322 Thanks Steve, yes it is annoying to read the comments, but I dont bother replying, there is a few in there that appreciate the video. Take care and safe flying also.
Brilliant footage... Boat is looking amazing....
Thanks very much, appreciated 😁
IS THIS A PROPAGANDA VIDEO FROM THE SPECIAL NEEDS PARTY ?, BECAUSE NO ONE AROUND THE WORLD WILL COMMISSION A BOAT AFTER THE FERGUSON MARINE FERRY FIASCO.
IS THIS A SPECIAL NEEDS PARTY PROPAGANDA VIDEO ?, THE SAD THING IS THAT FERGUSON MARINE WILL BE CLOSED SHORTLY BECAUSE NO ONE WILL COMMISSION ANY BOATS AFTER THE FERRY FIASCO.
Great video and looks ike a really good boat. Looking forward to seeing her in Brodick
Thanks Gavin, that's really appreciated 😁👍🏾
Still waiting then.
shame they gave up all the outside viewing deck space very popular with passengers
Its still all there, bolts are in place ready for seats to be fitted.
2 minutes 50 seconds in and there's a dolphin alongside the bow, racing the boat. Fabulous.
Well spotted Miles 😁👍🏾 Thanks for watching and thanks for the compliment.

Wow I wonder what calmac is gonna name it?

Isle of Man steam packet company commissioned their new vessel “Manxman” in 2021…built in South Korea at a cost of £78,million….and almost one and a half times larger, at 24 000 tonnes, and a passenger capacity of 950 ….and 2500 lane metres of cars or freight , approx 340 if cars only …..and has now been in service , as of September 2023 , for two months…., yet this vessel alone is now exceeding 250 million I believe ….. absolutely staggering, and mind blowing 🤔😐
These two great Shipyards. Building these state of the art vessels would not be there. If Scotland was Independent. No if's. No buts.
Lovely hotel, look forward to coming back
This monday coming😊
They need to hurry up and finish it and start the next one they are not marketing a new car !
The only thing in its favour is it's not called titanic.
THE BOAT THAT WAS SAILING DIDNT HAVE PAINTED ON WINDOWS
Piece of junk
Excellent footage and edit Steve, the Mavic 3 certainly is impressive in low light. Good to chat with you today and have subbed your channel. Jim
Thanks very much.. Was Fab chatting, we will definitely have to do some joint flying soon. Get me on FB so I pass over my details. 👍🏾😁
AMAZING WHAT A COAT OF PAINT CAN DO.
If it gets into service ,which I doubt , I hear the tugs are going to tow it everywhere.
That’s the S N P for you. They are all criminals, plenty of back handers and jobs for the boys.
Why has this ship taken so long and cost so much. Looks like a nice ordinary ferry.
Don't know. I fly drones for a living. Ask me one about flying drones, spending hours editing its footage, in order to receive great feedback on my work 😁
Would be nice to see how far the other one has come along,
Because the SNP are in charge and they xxxx up everything they turn their hands to.
Smash that like button please, if you think my time, effort, and editing skills with this video is worth it. Im a drone pilot and don't do politics 😀
5yrs late and still not in service, over 350 Million Pounds and still rising, yet People Vote for these SNP Fannies, I just don't get it, the Ferries the NHS and Education just to mention a few, My God if we ever got Independence we would be bankrupt 😣 from Glasgow.
The ferry has two names on it which is correct? "I dont know I have no recollection and no records were made at the time" 😂👍🇬🇧
Why is it the Germans can build a cruise ship for over 5000 passengers plus crew in 18 months and to an agreed price.
Because the NATS aren't involved
Is it only me or does anyone else think that boat ought to be secretly renamed, overnight just before it sails on its maiden voyage in nineteen canteen? I have been to Arran on many occasions and never had a glitch but, somehow, I couldnt trust this vessel. It has the dark & sinister cloak of the snp all over it!! Great video Steve👍👍
Thanks Adam 😁👍🏾
Is this video to promote the snp, if that is the case better luck next time, the money fiddled on these two ferries is a disgrace.
Networking to promote my flying skills and editing as a professional drone pilot.
@@stevemcintosh5322 Well one thing for sure you got that right, it's absolutely great, this is a very professional job, no doubts about that, well done, & best of luck in your career, not a problem on that side of things.

The most expensive and useless ferry’s on the planet.
Thanks for your comment, however, im showing off my flying & editing skills as a Drone Pilot and not promoting a debate or personal thoughts on a ship. Would be nice for some constructive criticism ON MY SKILLS, if any please.
@@stevemcintosh5322 Nothing to complain about on that score Steve. Well done on your video and editing👍👍
@@WeeShoeyDugless Thanks Adam, ver much appreciated.
How could such a small ferry cost so much,, and still nowhere near ready????
Simply add some SNP
Costs a lot to paint some windows on it pal🤷♂️
@@Man_fay_the_Bru I think they got the window stickers from Hobbycraft

It's good to see ships being built on the Clydebank again. It is an echo of a proud past. The Royal Canadian Navy is building 15 of this class of ships as are the Australians. They are of an awesome design.
Nice. Would have been good to see. Hopefully catch at least one of them.
Thanks Billy, appreciated. 😁👍🏾
i bet russians saying that too haha
Very nice. I can just imagine being out in the North Atlantic at night in a storm on this ship. That would be some footage.
Thanks very much for your lovely comment Craig. Very much appreciated. Steve😊👍🏾
No worries Steve.
The ship would be blacked out with no visible light ... not a cruise ship.
Cheap Chinese steel, German machinery, cheap foreign mainly Romanian labour The only thing Scottish about them is the location
You actually come across as very racist so please keep your comments (unless constructive ) to yourself.
@@stevemcintosh5322 You come across as some kind of weirdo triggered snowflake. Get a grip
@@stevemcintosh5322 give it a bloody rest. The man is simply pointing out facts which someone always have to turn into the race debate. Pentland Ferries built two ships in Thailand , they came in on time under budget. Race has nothing to do with it, it is simply about choosing the fight builder, picking a good design and effective project management, none of the foregoing present in this debacle. It is your money and my money and every other Scot’s money that is being squandered on this shambles by a inept and clearly corrupt Government.
