Is it important to use a monopod attached to the lens like you have it.I have mine attached to the camera with a heavy 70 -300ml lens and a light monopod.Alot of my shots are blurry. im shooting at breaks in ireland with settings like 1/1000 on shutter priority and auto iso.Image stab turned off,auto white balance,single point focus,centre weighted metering.I might try your settings in manual mode.I hope i have more luck.

Exposure settings for the face and background (side lit by sun), back lit by remote flash triggered. Composition arranges desired background (graffiti) wall - long lens to compress it into the frame. Nice.

wonderful idea !!! I have a form of rhumatoid arthritis and cannot get on the ground so this is a awesome idea for me !

I use the yongnuo flashes now. Canon is too expensive. Tip - set WB to daylight. WIth the speedlights you will always get perfect color.
