Carol of the Bells” originated in Ukraine as a folk song called “Shchedryk”

After spending 2 weeks in December of 1989 driving cross country from Washington DC to San Francisco, my then "common law husband" who was a mostly self taught amateur musician and full time active duty US Navy Lieutenant insisted that we attend an East Bay Berkeley Mannheim Steamroller Concert. I had never noticed hearing their electronic music before but when they started performing this classic Carol of the Bells, my sweetheart had recruited for life a Mannheim Steamroller fanatic fan! Magnificent memories of my beloved, myself, and I'm certain many more millions of lifelong fans especially during these Yuletide Season days!
