The little angel hit and miss engine.
Sounds great, sorta' like a machine gun, LoL 😆👍
Very nice engines.
ThAnks . Like what your doing also!.
A little engine i purchased from china . Single cylinder , two opposed pistons meeting in the centre . What a little gem .i just love having it to look at .
Very nice colin. Sounds really nice and smooth.
Many thanks!
what did you use for the points?
Commercial car points motor sport I think . And made the bracket to suit.
Man that's small, 1/2 inch bore. Runs pretty good though.
Very interesting engine! Runs good, well done.
Thanks its a lovely engine to build and run.
I did think I've seen it before. I will pop over at the weekend sometime
I see you've been busy very nice sounds lovely. I will pop up over the weekend.
Oh this us a old video Martin that I just found.
That runs real nice!
Sounds great ! Good video.
I got this engine running very rich As its new .
Hi Colin is Martin peps son. Really fantastic work. I will have to pop over some time.. I was wondering if you could tell me where I can get the plans for the manfreds Stirling engine and the poppin flame licker engine. I've tried to get plans from ebay model engineer but thay don't have the plans with them. Thanks
Hi Martin. I have the plans here but they are both available free on line . The poppin is a difficult engine . I would do the manfred engine first.
@@colinsalter3516 OK thanks I will look
Well done - nice little runner.
Thanks . I nearly gave up on this one . But I won't be beat .
Very nice! I've got the book, but hadn't seen one running.
This one was running rich as I had just finished it . But it runs nice now leaned out and the governor adjusted
my gramps played the banj,, thanks for the vid
I mess about for my own amusement . Should spend more time at it really . But model engine building has taken over . Thanks for watching .I like your stirling engine builds .
@@colinsalter3516 I ear ya on the engines,, If i was smarter I could find more "off the shelf" componants, the RnD is expensive and time consuming, as most of the engines I build have no print. ;-) Thank you sir, stay well
Very nice engine!
great motor, great work. Bravo
Thanks !
Sweet, as always. Your work is inspirational. I’m working on my first gas engine now, long way to go! 😊 -Mark
Nice bench ignition system! Can you over supply these little sparkplug with too much voltage?
Well I have not yet. With loads of running on various engines.
Very neat and trim. Well done.
Runs great ! Bob Shores would be smiling at this.
Thanks . I like this one .
Nicely made, and interesting Colin.
Nice! Well done. 😎 -Mark
Very nice. Where do you find your plans? 😊 -Mark
Hi mark they are the late bob shores of florida. His wife was still selling his plans . But search bob shores florida . Should get you there also florida model engine site might help.
Lovely job Colin. Runs very well.
Thanks malc . I've been busy out in the workshop.
The second running of this engine . I have the governor restricted. As the engine needs a bit more running yet.
Lenuar ? ua-cam.com/video/0S1T2ITCS7s/v-deo.html
Saw your engine great build . Is a Stuart casting . They are only about 30miles away from where I live in somerset .
This is the second one if these I made. The plans are online . It's a nice little engine to build and they run great!.
Pretty cool m8
Nice one!
Nice work Colin. Congratulations on the outcome. Cheers Rob
Thanks rob!. This one has a buzz coil in it. It don't half give you a pisser when you accident ly touch the lead . I need to puta insulating cap on it . I hada couple of shocks ofthe thing .
Sorry about the typo,s This iPad has a mind of its own lol.
Well done Colin. That runs great now.
This one led me a dance Malc . But that's the game with these . The small one,s a pinnicky thats for sure . Thanks for uour comment. Take care buddy !.
My duclos gearless first run in the hit and miss mode.
Nice one Colin.
Some nice hit n miss there Colin. Bet you are having fun with it now.
Excellent work Colin. Really like the governor.
The govenor in this clip is disabled . but I gave a clip with the govenor connected, In another video that I posted
Great job Colin. Runs well. Some hours gone into that one. What sort of valves does it use ? Cheers Rob
I used drill rod made in one piece . Sometimes I make them in two pieces and silver solder them .as you don't have to turn the stems using drill rod .
Lovely job on that Colin. Very well done.
Thanks Malc. I will post it again when I got the governor installed ,so it can run inthe hit and miss mode . That was the first time I ran it.
@@colinsalter3516 Now Colin, you know of my age/health issues. Well this has meant I've 'money to waste' so I've bought bits of plastic (an iphone). Partly to do a live video (not done one yet). However I was having problems turning it from portrait to landscape. Asked my young mate and it's very easy. Touch the wand bottom right, symbol bottom right and symbol bottom left. Might? help record in landscape.
Thanks for the info malc . I was just pleased the engine ran .so never oaid to much attention . But my next posting with the govemor connected will be done landscape .
@@colinsalter3516 I bet. Always a nerve wracking moment when you try to start an engine for the first time. Even one you've not built yourself.
You should be able to make nice video,s with your iPhone. I have problems with the sound using my old iPad
A duclos gearless engine ,That I just built running with the governor disconnected.
Nice one Colin. Only just found this by chance.
This one runs nice . Sold it to a guy in Cornwall . He also bought a odds and ends hit and miss engine from me. I have sold five of my engines since they were seen at the honiton hill tractor rally.
Have you got a link to the engine designer's web page or UA-cam channel Colin ?
This is a duclos designed engine . In a book workshop wisdom .
Awesome Colin. Great build. What is the tall vertical shaft with the brass knob on it coming from the muffler ? Cheers Rob
Hi rob . That's a drip oiler ,That drips oil into the cylinder liner.
That's a beauty Colin. Does the big aluminium top mounting plate act as a heat sink ? I hope to do a review of a shop bought one of these soon. Very interesting layout. Cheers Rob
Hi rob . This is a kit from grizzly tools In the USA .you can get the plans for this engine and the horizontal beam engine I have built two horizontal beam engines one from the kit and one from the plans that came with the kit. I was showing my engines at a steam engine rally .and a guy came along and like the horizontal engine so much that he bought it . I sold five of my engines that day . The top plat is not a heat sink . I gave the flame a bit to high on this video. But check out grizzly so site .enter Stirling engines and the plans are there so you can download them . Thanks for your kind comments . I hope your neck soon gets better lol.
Ha Ha. I had a few reds and it's much better now. Cheers rob
Great little engine Colin. I made one like that but couldn't get the damn thing to run. I think the stroke was too short. Never had much luck with flame lickers. I like the metho pot made out of the copper pipe reducer - great idea. I got a crick in my neck watching this ;) Cheers Rob
I wish I knew how to turn , the bloody video arround . I can build engines. Computers not so much . They are great little engines but not a first build that's for sure . Build a big one its so much easier to do!.
Great job Colin. Good to see you putting up some more content. You have lots to offer viewers. Cheers Rob
Runs great, nice sound. Well done.
Engine running prior to connecting. The governor up.
One of two of these engines that I built.
I built this little Stirling engine for a friend of mine . He loves it!.
