Davey is FUNemployed for two weeks. So, he decided to bite the bullet and pre-order Star Wars: Outlaws Gold Edition for a massive $169.95. Since BBG does not usually cover full-priced AAA games, we ask, "Was it worth it?" Also, given that SWO is an open-world game filled with all the usual tropes, we decided to break down some of the best and worst from gaming history. Check out Mitch's recomme...

thomas here: awesome interviews and footage, loving getting to hear from some of the other queer projects at PAX 2024!!! good stuff y'all!!! <3 really enjoyed chatting with y'all about ShelfLife and some of our proposed features!!! we're v. excited about implementing ace + aro routes. and to clarify: I don't conflate skanky-ness with poly-ness but I do think both are GREAT and wanna include player options around them, too!!! :D
Shelflife Art School Detective looks so good i can't wait to play it... well i guess i have to until the demo comes out .
Our good friends should be releasing the demo soon :)

Such chemistry ❤ It sizzles.
This feels more like a date than an interview.....
hahaha I can see how you would think that. Not sure I would have come back for a second date ;-)
Welcome to the BQN, Mitch.
Hilarious 😂
Doing well oh sister show of mine.
Thanks for the comparison
❤❤❤
"Promo SM" 🤔
12:47 - Hey! You’re making me feel VERY attacked right now! I also kept a poster of Seven of Nine back in the day, to convince MYSELF that I was straight! 😂🏳️🌈 Jeri Ryan is pretty awesome in person, too 🖖
She is an absolute icon for so many reasons.
nice video. just a few notes from someone who Elite Force when it first came out and for several years after because of the multi-player and RPG mod. the games graphics were dated even when it came out. It was built on the Quake 2 engine and released right as the Quake 3 engine was released so it was outdated from the start. also the multi-player portion of the game called hollomatch went open source about a decade ago and is free to download. it was a lot of fun and there was even a really cool RPG mod built for the game called RPG-X and a lot of custom maps built for it. That kept the game pretty popular for several years after it came out. I remember hopping on and playing with my RPG group into the late 00s. I'm actually still friends with several of the people I met back then and we still hang out and game from time to time just in much newer games.
Awww that's so great. I love that you have such fond memories. Like I I said in the video, I wish I had the means to play it upon release.
Elite Force did not run on the Quake 2 engine, it ran on the Quake 3 Arena engine. The box literally has the Quake 3 engine logo on it.
@@Draknfyre ya you are correct. It was built on the Q2 engine but the Q3 engine came out not long before the game was set to release so they ported it over to the Q3 engine.
@@starkiller18 My dude, no. Quake 3 was released in '99. Elite Force didn't come out until 2000. It's sequel was also one of the very last games to use the Quake 3 engine. I don't know where you got your info that it was ever developed using the Q2 engine, but it wasn't.
@@Draknfyre yes but the game was in development for several years before it came out. I remember reading and following the development. it was originally being build on the Q2 engine and when the Q3 engine was released they ported it over to that engine but it was still using a lot off features from the Q2 engine.
Elite Force II is a far superior game. I've got my copies of both!
I definitely want to give that a go next
@@bargainbingaymer it's worth the time for sure! Too bad we cannot access mutilplayer, it way better than the campaign!
Elite force was better than the show..... whatchya talkin bout willis
🤣
Is my memory tricking me? No way in hell it looked THAT bad. I only play on PCs, so maybe the footage is from a console?!
This was recorded direct from my laptop. It looked a bit yuck at higher resolution.
@@bargainbingaymer Ah, OK. But I checked other, unmodded footage, it doesn‘t look as bad. Maybe the other settings were not cranked up to max? The resolution should be around HD, that would be the intended resolution
It could be the cropping or rendering of my video editor as well
Tuvok's thick neck makes him look like Bortus from The Orville.
🤣
Quick correction from myself. The game used the 'id Tech 3' engine. Not the 'quake engine' as I mentioned in the video. Please do not hate me, internet ;)
Yeah, this game did not use the Quake engine. It used the ID Tech 3 engine used in Quake 3. Pretty far off on that.
Ahhh I stand humbly corrected. I was going off the big claim on the front of the box. But did not take that nuance into account. Thanks for the feedback.
I love star trek, they got rid of greed, capitalism, social and economic disparity, but man those mini skirts will NEVER die!
The SKANTS are the best thing in Star Trek. Especially the ones the men wore in the early episodes of TNG.
I played a lot of this back in the day
Some id-Tech egine, if I remember correctly (wikipedia said yes). Voyagers inside still look decent but the rest of the game didn't age so well. Elite Force 2 was a huge step up, although it's the same heavily modified engine. STV:EF2 is my pile of shame. I didn't like the story enough to keep playing after STV:EF
Wasnt it built on monolith tech? Could be wrong but its got more a blood 2 vibe than an Unreal vibe
@@GrumpyMunkyGameDesign Apparently it was indeed id Tech 3 - which was also used in Quake 3 (as I have now been informed).
EF1 was built on the Quake 2 engine an EF2 was built on the Idtech 3 engine. I remember when it came out because I was big into the modding and RPG scene for EF1 at the time and the stuff you could do on the IDtech 3 engine had so much potential for that stuff. unfortunately the modding and mapping tools for EF2 were terrible and it was very difficult to mod for so it never really got going. I do remember releasing a few beta versions of small RPG maps but that all died off pretty quick and everyone just went back to playing EF1.
Aussie Aussie Aussie! Oh and... Gog Gog Gog! (Good store front that)
I only just discovered it. Love it!
@@bargainbingaymer tis good it is. It's how I got all Space Quests for like.... $6
played the hell out of this on ps2. there was a free roam dlc???? man i missed out.
haha you can still play the DLC if you download the GOG version of the game
Also ps2 version (like Half Life) supports usb keyboard and mouse

As a representative of Guinness book of World Records im pleased to announce you are the proud runner up recipient of the 'No fucker cares wether u were first or not, just wether you had something valuable to contribute to the conversation' award. Sadly you could have been nominated for the 'having something valid to contribute to the conversation' award, but since your only contribution was the word 'first' you are given the distinct honour of being mocked for your lack of witty contribution, and instead receive the prestigious honour of 'no one gives a fuck' CONGRATULATIONS!!!!
Oh, I have to play horror games like this with my boyfriend. I get so jumpy! Kinda ironic since I write horror lol.
haha I would never be able to get my partner to play a game like this with me. He just sticks to Mario :P
Huh, I haven't heard of this one before. Thanks for the gameplay video!
I posted a review on it as well. It is a great little "time waster" game because you can just do quick little playthroughs and then walk away.
Just found my new favorite channel.
Love the new opening theme
kunkun likes to sing dance rap, especially likes playing basketball😊
that tittle tho
Fixed ;)
the most popular memeStar in China, is this ghost in the game .
Ji Ni Tai Mei(鸡你太美)means pretty chicken 😂
Its so great being there for these moments!
Watching you struggle with what to do when the game first started 😂
It didn't really explain itself.
@doublettmedia yeah i agree, it needs a better tutorial or something to explain the mechanics of the game. Once you learn how to play it's a ton of fun though.
Played a ton of this game when it was in early release. Really enjoyed it. It has lots of references for fans of japanese horror.
Ok this game actually looks pretty interesting
Not bad for a $3 game that you can play on 15 mins
love the t-shirt
Are those games ray traced?
haha I doubt it ;)
We have added KartRider Drift to our collection
Not a bad little game to have in your wheel house!
@@bargainbingaymer If I do a quick stream of it. I’ll make sure to let you know!
Love the story about Steve.
Thank god Steve is feeling better!
I can’t wait to do a guest appearance on your first person shooter games! I’ll try and squeeze you into my busy tournament schedule 🎉
Alpha Zylon looks so fun-NOT. I hope the price was actually 7.5 cents
Haha if it didn't feel so unfair it could actually be quite challenging and rewarding
