My period flow become very less like it only last a day is it normal ?
Watching this in prep for surgery in a couple of days (primary goal is to remove a 13 cm endometrioma and possible oophorectomy, possibly fibroids, plus any endo).
your video's have been so real and so helpful!!!!!!!!! thank you !!!! I'm doing surgery in July this year
If you don’t mind me asking how come it took 8 months to recover :) thank you for this!
I want this surgery like TOMORROW
Extra tip: use activated charcoal for the gas pain
I had mine today, they found endo ! They removed it all, I had lesions on the right side and internal bleeding on the left, I wasn’t expecting them to find anything 😭
Would it be a problem if you have braces and have to have surgery?
I’m 19 and having my first laparoscopy on Wednesday this week, I’m really nervous. I’ve had such an awful time through my teens, not being able to go to school or have a life really, due to the pain, fainting, heavy bleeding etc and my doctors finally told me they think I have endometriosis last year. I’m really nervous but I’m even more scared that they won’t find anything, because if it’s not endometriosis then I don’t know why I’m struggling this much. This has helped me calm down a lot, thank you x
Thank you! I am going to do that in 2 days
Thank you for sharing your experience and advise. Going through my diagnostic laparoscopy in a few days
how long did it take for you stomach to go back to normal, like no bloating from the surgery?
about 4 weeks xx
I had my gynae appointment on 11th of May, I’m having pre op tomorrow and surgery on the 19th.. I’m terrifieddd! Thank you for the tips and honesty 🩷🎀
I know this video was posted almost 2 years ago but I'm going in for second surgery after my diagnostic in 2021. There are so many tips in here that I should have had back then, thank you.♥
i had my first lap last saturday. i was more anxious about the result than the surgery itself! 13 years of being thrown from pillar to post with my chronic pain and bad periods and i finally got my diagnosis of endo! what a relief to actually understand that it wasn't all in my head and that i wasn't suffering for nothing. honestly, the weight that has been lifted off my shoulders after 13 years is unbelievable. 6 of those 13 years my partner and i have also struggled with infertility with no answer as to why this was happening. just to hear the words 'we can confirm you have endometriosis' was all i've ever dreamed of hearing. finally an answer to all my problems. such a shitty disease to live with but such a relief to finally have a diagnosis. i wish you good health and happiness in life. may god bless you.
I appreciate this video! 💛
This video was great. Just recovering from surgery and had the post surgery blues yesterday and was wondering what was wrong with me, because I was so possitive straight after my surgery. Thank you for highlighting this is normal x
I just had the surgery yesterday! The pain is brutal!!!
I had my surgery on Wednesday too. I feel your pain! Just dosing up on loads of peppermint tea, activated charcoal and Coedine and finding that is finally giving some relief. Hope you feel better soon xx
I had mine 4 days ago and it’s still agony I wasn’t expecting it to last so long !
Thank you for your recommendations! I will have my surgery in less than 2 weeks and this helps a lot
Did u have a heavy periods after a month of surgery?
I've been waiting 2 months and was told I was urgently referred on the NHS but now I'm having to wait till January at the earliest to find out if I even have endo! The NHS honestly is very delayed rn
my surgery is also scheduled for january! wish u the best of luck:)
This was such a helpful video. I'm currently waiting for my laparoscopy to discover what's been going on but I've had all clear scans and bloods. Some doctors say it's likely to be endo but then others say it's probably not so I'm really worried I go through the hassle of the surgery but I'm just in so much pain that I feel like it's not worth not doing it
Hi there! How long did you bleed after surgery/ how many days? Thank you for your content!!
Thank you for your video, super helpful and comforting!
Thank you for this, my surgery is in two weeks and I'm nervous about it, this helps me be prepared ♡
If you ever have too have this surgery again take GAS X
the cling film hack is EVERYTHING
Mines on 31st jan so in 5 days so scared
thats so funny how everyone does a lap different. about to have my second one. I have never seen the sponge haha! And the 1st one I didn't have to stay the night i left like an hour after I woke up...........you got me worried about the gas/shoulder pain because I literally had NONE the 1st time but my 2nd surgery is with a more endo specialist but ugh........gonna have to mention to try and suck out as much air before closing lol omg.........maybe its cause I laid totally flat for the entire 1st day
Thanks for your candour Emma. I really enjoyed your update and I'm especially glad you're doing so well! I suspect I have endometriosis and I will likely need an operation soon so it was really helpful hearing about your journey. Especially as I live abroad and don't speak much of the native language (typical Brit). Thanks again for your honesty and taking the time to make these videos. 😊
Very helpful. I will do my surgery soon
Thank you for sharing your experience and so much more, for so many reasons!
Hi loves, I have finally filmed my 6 month update video! Hopefully this will answer some of your questions… ua-cam.com/video/nsAhjrV7yeQ/v-deo.html 💛💛💛
Thanks so much for sharing your journey! And sharing like we're ypur best friends!
Hi I'm Rhosel, I will be having a laparoscopy and hysteroscopy on Friday. Praying that everything goes well and successful. I am worried about complications but my Dr said its very rare. So I am just thinking that this procedure will end my pains. I can feel it is a little bit pain on my right pelvic so yeah, hopefully it will be well. Thank you for your vlog, it helps me to.prepare for it.
What is the use of the sponge.. can't we take a normal shower on operating day or a day before Plz tell me also for what reasons we needed pads, does women bleeds after surgery ?
How big was ur cyst before they removed it I have one that's over 2.4 inches, might need surgery in a couple months
Is gas painful or do c section
Hey thanks for sharing this video, its been 6 months you have posted it.. i wana know that what was the size of your Cyst? And since its been 6 months you have done your surgery.. do u fear or feel that cyst is reoccuring?
Hi lovely, I think you may be confused, this surgery as not for an ovarian cyst it was for adhesions and endometriosis 💛
@@everythingwithemma5896 i know i was asking about the size of endometriosis cyst
i’m getting my second one in 5 days 😔 and i feel more nervous than my first one
Hey what’s the size of your cyst? And after how long it got reoccured?
@@ree.b86 my left one is 9cm and growing and my right one is around 3 cm which is abnormal
@@ree.b86 and 2 year difference
I was the same! It is incredibly nerve wracking but try to remember it will hopefully help you with your pain 💛
Omg I can relate so well to this video....both my ovaries are stuck to the posterior wall of uterus...I already had 1 lap in 2019 and got them freed. But pain came back in 2020. Now I have stabbing pain in both my ovaries. And results shows that ovaries are again glued to uterus and there are lot of adhesions. M fed up of this pain. My next surgery is due after my eggs are retrieved. Pray for me pls
many Prayers that the surgery goes well
Can you do a video how life has been during your surgery?
Yes of course! Will be filming one soon! Can you let me know any questions you want answered? X
@@everythingwithemma5896 life post surgery...is all the pain gone? Any changes you have noticed? I hear weight gain is a concern, is it a concern for you or is that not really a thing? Any old symptoms that are gone, any new symptoms that have arrived? They say you loose your sex drive, is that true? How is your energy level?
Is it advisable before or after cycle the surgery?
Hi Emma, It has been so good to watch you and your journey knowing there is light at the end of the tunnel, thank you! I am waiting for my lap surgery and am a complete hospital/bodies/medical-phobe :/ can I please ask with the incisions how often the dressings are changed and by who? thank you! Xx
Laparoscopy shouldn't be an option my dear if they didn't tell you everything your feeling now the pain and everything that comes with it will return 5years from now..I'm Endo free with herbal medications
This is disgraceful. I have reported your comment for spam and false information.
Hi Anna, apologies for the late reply and the appalling spam comment above. With my incisions I had internal stitches and I believe one or two ones that I took out myself after about a week. I changed my dressings every 2 days at least and remember to keep them dry! Sending lots of love 💛
@@everythingwithemma5896 thanks so much! I am very medically afraid and find anything about bodies very worrying and am anxious about the whole thing, you have helped me so much! Lots of love xx
I completely understand. Don’t be Afraid to ask for help or advice from doctors and nurses. Our bodies are truly incredible even though they can also cause so much pain! Just remember pain is like a warning light on a car, you should always get it checked, it’s our bodies way of telling you that something is wrong so you doing this surgery and investigations is so sensible. I found recovery a lot easier than expected, everyone is different but try not to put too much pressure on yourself. 💛
I just went for a waxing 1 week before....all clean now lol.
Hey, i have endo from the past 8,9 years now, i just had lapro done once 5 years ago but now from the last one year i again am feeling pains and all sorts of symptoms 😞 May i ask what stage was your endo and what were your other symptoms beside pelvic pain plus i also have a congenital heart condition.
Hello, I’m so sorry I missed this, also to sorry to see the horrendous spam comments. I have reported them. Main symptoms were: Pelvic pain Dragging heaviness in pelvis Bloating Irregular bleeding Painful examinations Fatigue Brain fog Hope that helps 💛
Have you had the same surgery with the NHS or did you go private because they wouldn’t diagnose you?
Hey- I’ve always gone private as very lucky to have insurance 💛
@@everythingwithemma5896 I’m stuck in the cycle right now of “well, if it’s endometriosis we’d treat it with the coil anyway so let’s cut out the middleman and go straight to that” but equally reluctant to push and push because if they go in and there’s nothing there then good for me, but also makes me look like I’m making it all up. Girls should not be afraid of their period
Hi Emma great video. I am going to do the surgery soon, but I was scared to go through with it but I am at ease now after watching your video. I also have a heart condition as well I am slightly worried about how I will be during the surgery, so what heart condition do have Emma? And did it go during the surgery
Hi lovely, good luck! I have p.o.t.s I just had to up my beta blocker meds for a week after surgery as was suffering with tachycardia 💛
@@gloriawhite2214 from where I can take those herbal medicines to keep endo away post surgery
I had a laparoscopy for endometriosis 20 years ago and i still remember that unbelievable pain the shoulders! Went on the have 3 kids :)
This is such a lovely comment, thank you! The shoulder pain is next level isn’t it! 💛
20 years ago? And did it ever come back during that time?
I have my first surgery on Wednesday. My doctor symptom diagnosed me with Endo a couple years ago. I am nervous that they will not find anything, and think I'm making it up! I dont want to look like an idiot.
@@leyvamichelle I have never heard of it. My doctor just put me on birth control which helped.
Hi lovely, I totally know that feeling! I feel the same everytime I have a surgery. How did it go? 💛
It went well thank you. I dont have endo, but they found a cyst on my ovary, and extra tissue.
