@EVOASSHOLE you can get an NSR250 relatively easily man, and with bolt ons they look like the 500, and make about 1/3rd the HP, which is still enough to put the speedometer right into your face.
Yep. Seems like all new bikes 2t or 4t suck a bit... Oldschool bikes rock! Fav is nsr500 but no chance getting one here... Ur just gonna hav to look at mi rvf with nsr clothes on.....
@ProfessorIgor Can't argue with that. I remember Alex Barros almost beating the entire field, including Rossi (who was on a 990 RCV Honda)...untill Olivier Jaqcue ( also on a 2-stroke 500 ),took him out in the last corner on the last lap. 500cc was awesome class, like all 2-stroke classes. Im not a fan of the big four-strokes. I think we both have a point. No electronics means best rider wins..electronics means no more nasty highsider. Nowadays a privateer cant win,in the 500cc he could.
@Wasakracker79 in Superbike, let there be traction control, etc... those ARE related to our everyday streetbikes. MotoGP should be the pinnacle of man and machine. Can it be that only 5 or 6 guys can actually ride one to it's limits ?? yes !! THAT'S why the 500's were so cool ! I can't argue with you just how fast the diesels are in MotoGP now.. I argue that a 500cc 2stk would beat a 4stk if given the same electronics, etc. But yeah, 340+ kmh is sickening fast.
@ProfessorIgor i understand where youre coming from but those " real men bikes " caused alot of highsiders. Im not trying to offend you. but i think if this makes racing safer, its not a bad option to consider. Because the speed nowadays is pretty high and if seem them crash, looked pretty violent. Mugello is more then 346 kmp/h,china more then 360,on the straight.
@Wasakracker79 I raced in the AMA Superbike series from `97-99.. 175hp and NO traction control. The talent pool is very shallow now in comparison to the late 80's into the mid 90's. Riders like Mick Doohan that went BACK to the screamer 500 instead of the big bang engine because he PREFERRED to slide the bike around. MotoGP is supposed to be difficult. It's only supposed to be for the few men in earth that can ride a GP bike to it's limits. Man vs. Man. not programmer vs. programmer.
@ProfessorIgor Really.. Put one of those " real men " on a motocycle against a " videogame artist " like Lorenzo or a Pedrosa or Spies...well see who wins. Traction control made it safer, because not everybody want to be a " Real men " and end up in a wheelchair like Rainey. By the way..i dont think you ever rode a motogp bike,so why are you acting tough ? If those videogame artist are no men...what does that make you ???
@Revanche2strokes good point. im just now getting my license to ride and I've noticed all the bikes I wanted as a kid are gone... v4s etc. Older bikes from the 90s are kinda hard to find.
You're right, the new MotoGP is boring, the bikes are all controlled by computers and the riders almost just sit and steer the bike. Not trying to take away anything from the riders, they do the best they can with bikes they're told to ride. But, there's no fire, no excitement, just droning 4 strokes. One of the big 4 said, no 2 strokes, cuz they want to race what the consumer buys. Really, so, Joe average can go into a Honda dlr and buy an F1 car? Support the 2 strokes, VISIT OUR WEB-SITE.
@racerguy996 not a beast... a super powerful 4 stroke with WAYYYY too many electronic babysitters to keep the rider from killing himself. Traction Control, BAH !
