I guess we play different types of uprising games. I buy more than 1 smf a game on average and hate going for worms unless no one else is. Finding the open lane is still extremely important and there will be more lanes with bloodlines.

I'm curious why you used diplomacy first instead of seek allies to get seek allies out of the deck?

Bad Luck Ariana. loosing twice on VP conflicts when she commited havily and missing 1P for SMF in R7.

I havent played with 6 players yet, but my understanding is that there should be 1 fight-player and one deckbuilder/relationship-Player in your team as the commander. So here for example Gurney/Feyd do the fighting and Jessica/Margot go relations and spice must flow. Then the commanders should get to the top of their exclusive tile asap since the rewards are powerful and then they can help somewhere else. For first round, I believe it wouldnt even be that clever for shadam to steal an 8 cost card, since no one can buy those that early.

I am no expert in this game, but in the last round, if you had gone for Spacing alliance instead I think you would have ended on one more point. I might have miscalculated, but you were 3 behind on both Emperor and Spacing. You tied for Emperor, so didn´t get it, but because of the Spacing bump intrigue, I think you could have passed. Would´t make a difference on the placement, but you would have ended on 11 points I think

Rough position and a rough game. IMO things started falling apart for you already round 2 when you had to block basin without bonus spice, and more so with the heavy combat focus later. You've uploaded a lot of Jessica game play, so what are your thoughts on her, by now? In my opinion she is pretty weak. Her pre-flip ring is pretty good but really poor once she flips, and her post-flip demands BG access to function at all. Playing her always feels to me like I am missing one of my leader abilities to fight other leaders and their two often good abilities, and that I desperately need to pick up good cards to make up for her inherent deficit.

Metulli does one thing well and that is pushing people out of combat or forcing them to overcommit. She needs good action economy for this which makes swordmaster important. She does that quite solidly, especially if early conflicts for solari are revealed. Her prime weakness is her lack of flexibility to adjust her plan when random game features don't come up her way, which is sadly quite often the case.

Your opponents are right that you can't just wait and then play an intrigue after Muad Dib passes. That's the whole point of there being a turn order. You can't make Muad Dib choose *before* he sees that you're retreating. In expectation, you got an unfair advantage by doing that.
