So glad they didn't butcher an often butchered song 😮 Layne is so sorely missed 😢 The only professional singer I think that can pull off this song is Brendan Maier from Skorned! Dude has a voice that is a carbon copy of Layne's and has an amazing range for his age. Definitely hope people check out his band they are strikingly similar to AIC 🤘🏼♥️

The drummer gets some mad props for this performance. Everyone, and I mean EVERYONE - including past/present Alice in Chains - rushes this song, live. It feels so unnatural to play it at a draggy tempo, but, if you don't, you lose that grungy, edgy slop that draws you into the dark desperation of the original.

So a surviving member of a band gets up on stage to play with members of a band parodying a genre they were “against” coming up, and with a guy with the same name as the first bass player they had, and also shares the stage with a guy whose band is constantly heckled for being a poor imitation of his own band? It’s like some sort of ironic universal clusterfuck, and I’m here for it.

Great to see Jeff and Russ jamming. Saw them a few times with War & Peace back in the day. Gotta love Jeff's passion - always 100% on!

Others may be able to learn it and play most of the notes right (you listnin' Henley?) but NOBODY plays it like Felder. He did write the music after all. And I'd about as soon hear Tommy play it with him as Walsh, tho Felder and Walsh were great as well. But there just seems to be more joy here. Felder might be better off after all as a solo artist. He just seems alive now.
