Last week I went on a lot of Dover's old Optare Solos, that's because today the new ones enter service. What will happen to the old ones? who knows? Most likely the end of the road for most of the older ones though they may keep some older solos for backup. The final Optare Solo video today. Not often do you see a solo work the 125 as it's usually done by E200s. All the Dover solos I went on today are due to be replaced by brand new 24 plate Optare Solo SRs. Ashford are getting them too, but they should be 74 plates so Ashford's old solos still have a little bit of time left before they retire Route: 125

Nice a brand new diesel bus forgot those exist while back in London they're only doing Electric buses for every London route they find
Just earlier today I saw an Optare solo 47987 operating on the W9 Route for the first time. I believe the W5 also uses them too but that could have changed in the last year of so.
I thought 47987 was withdrawn
is a mercedez engine with this optare because like more efficient at loud sounds

We got rid of some optare solos recently unfortunately they were scrapped 😔 despite being only 12 years old
Dover's old Optare Solos are about to be replaced too, presumably from Monday. And Ashford's solos possibly in October :(
@@awesometrainsandbuses ahh man, hopefully you get some newer optare solos, we have metrocity EVs now (switch branded) in a way of optare still having a presence

wow, amazing ZF gearbox! the ones we have in lisbon (Marcopolo Viale bodywork) are voith gearbox, scream loud as hell
