Paragliding, incident in flight near Pedro Bernardo. Parapente, incidencia en Mijares Pedro Bernardo
My aim in uploading this video is to learn from the conditions that produce the incident as well as the pilot's reaction (hello everybody, I'm "the lucky" guy)
After listening to wise, experienced pilots, it's clear that I over reaction
Turbulence was unexpected and very strong in a very quite area when, with enough height, I began to cross a valley (no rotors, no leeward). Half speed bar applied
Before this flight, I had managed asymmetrical and frontal collapses, some very strong, without problems. I've over 500 flights experienced in all kinds of places year around
Weight 103 for a 85/105 size wing
Sincerously, I think that SIV incidents are easier to handle because the pilot is ready for the situation, know what is gonna happen, and is ready to apply the right answer, usually in steady conditions. Beside that, I'm willing to do an SIV as soon as possible
I hope to learn a lot with this incident, to fly safer, further and enjoy every flight more and more

Después de escuchar a pilotos experimentados y con conocimiento parece claro que sobre-mandé, sobre-corregí la vela
Había sobrevolado una cuerda de montañas y estaba empezando a cruzar un valle a mucha altura, sin sotavento ni rotores. Era una zona muy tranquila y estable. Llevaba medio acelerador pisado
Antes de este vuelo, he tenido plegadas laterales y frontales, algunas bastante grandes, y las he resuelto sin problemas. Tengo más de 500 vuelos en todo tipo de lugares y en todas las estaciones del año
Voy a 103 kg en una vela de talla 85/105 kg
Creo que en los cursos SIV es mucho más fácil enfrentarse a una incidencia porque se está preparado para esa incidencia concreta, y ya se tiene pensado de antemano cual debe ser la reacción y en que proporción. Además las condiciones de vuelo suelen ser tranquilas. De todas maneras tan pronto como pueda quiero hacer un SIV
Bueno, pues espero aprender un montón de este incidente para volar cada día más seguro, divirtiéndome, y llegar más y más lejos con cada vuelo

That's exactly what happend with me and how I get injured. I didn't know about this gradient and when my wing suddenly dive forward, I've started pulling the brakes up to a stall. 16m of falling on stallen wing, ischime broken. 2 months of recovery

This explanation is not 100% correct.... When a wind gradient is encountered during a strong wind landing, the glider will sink strongly, which means that the airflow during the sink will mainly come from below, so the resistance on the glider will increase, this will result in a leaning back rather than pitch forward of the glider. At this point, the angle of attack of the glider is in a very dangerous area

Gracias hace unos días aterricé fuerte.. estaba a 3 metros del piso y quedé sentado, un aterrizaje muy malo.. no puse freno total.. creo que hubo una descendente y por eso terminé en el piso :( pero ver este vídeo me saca de dudas
