Great video. Brings back so many great memories! Last time I was here (over 20 years ago) War and Peace was 5.10a and Masterpiece was a 10b. Both classics....so much fun!
Nice edit, Sabrina, and some classic route choices! :)
I'm doing my first climbing comp here in 3 weeks and I'm excited and nervous. I know I may not win but I'm going to try with everything I have to do so.
I totally forgot about this place! We climbed here 20+ years ago; so much fun:) Most of our time is now spent at the Red.
Really enjoyed this video! I just got started climbing and am at the very beginning and this was inspiring. It was also reassuring that even though climbing might seem outside of the ordinary to most people, that it really does bring a lot of joy and challenge that I'm already loving, so thank you for sharing.
I’m so happy to hear this! Thank you for sharing (: stick with it and keep crushing! Climbing literally changed my life so I hope it can bring you some of that magic as well ☺️
The Beer Walls was the first place I ever climbed outdoors. Waaaay back in 2007! Such a great crag. Frosted Mug is still high on my list! Maybe this season!
i i i
Just found your video, awesome. What guide book did you have?
Thanks! We used the High on Moab book!
yall are cute
Really good work! Push up game needs some more depth
This is so cool! I wish I could do this.
I just started at Island Rock on Long Island too! I've done two rope sessions and 1 bouldering session and I'm hooked! I love it!! Thank you for the vid :)
That’s awesome!! Island rock is the best, hope to see you around the gym sometime! (:
Great job on your training and good luck with your goals! I have a video coming out tomorrow that talks about some of my climbing goals so it was cool to hear someone else’s as well. Oddly enough, my wrist is randomly hurting too, so watching this was a good reminder that I should probably take it easy. Excited to see what 2021 brings for you and your channel 💛
Thank you!! Can’t wait to see your video! What I think was the issue with my wrist was overuse causing more rapid development of my forearm muscles compared to the muscles on the top of my arm, creating an imbalance. I did some wrist and extensor exercises after my week off before I got back to climbing!
good motivation for the upcoming winter training 👍🏼
Ready to crush 🤘🏻
Congrats Sabrina!!! Sound strong and confident, I'm so happy for you and excited to see month 3!
Thank you Karen, that means the world 💗💗
Awesome Sabrina : )
Thank you 💗
What made masterpiece your favorite route?
It had super fun movement on good holds! Really aesthetically cool as well in my opinion
Very cool! I've always wanted to create routes, seems like a permanent legacy to leave ya know? :)
Definitely! That’s been one of the coolest parts of creating the guide for sure!
This was really interesting, I'm looking into doing more specific training for climbing and this video gave me a good idea of some things I could try. Nice job on the training and climbing! 💛
Thank you so much, I’m glad this was helpful!! If you have any questions/thoughts/anything, feel free to reach out! 😊
You are an inspiration to many Sabrina! keep it up :)
Arthur 🥺🥺 thank you so much! I really appreciate that
But why has eric been pepper sprayed twice??
Hahaha a great question! Once was in the police academy, and once was just cause he wanted to??
it’s hard work to stick through a training plan for a full month, but it def pays off. Nicely friggin done!
Thank you! I did find motivation lacking at points but when you actually see the progress it gets you right back up and moving
Great work! Can't wait to see how the next two months go for you and what you are able to accomplish :)
Thank you so much!
God it was horrible but so fun to try!! Loved being in pain with you all 😂😂😂
Definitely worst thing ever but still somehow fun haha
lmao eric is hilarious. this is such a wholesome video
Lol he’s totally unfazed while I’m losing my mind it’s fine 😐
YOU DID IT! lol Proud of you Sabrina!!
Haha thank you!! I barely made it out alive
great edit!
Thanks so much!
My favorite route there is Orange Krush
Aweomse, I’ll have to give it a go next time!!
Try the sport multipitch at Rumney. They are so much fun. Gotta get on the 2nd pitch of Rock Du Jours. One of the best 5.9s you'll climb anywhere
Awesome! I’ll definitely keep that in mind for next time!
Good on ya for the lead!
Thank you! My second 5.7 lead and I was definitely spooked a bit but so glad I did it!
The views are soooo gorgeous! Loved!
Thank you! Yeah this place is beautiful!
Oh my gosh SABRINA you're a badass! I love your vlogs!
Hahahah thank you!!! Love your new channel as well, been watching every day!
Woo, first outdoor V5!!!!! Absolutely crushing it.
Woooo thank you!!!
nice job on L'Orion, looking forward to more powerlinez videos
Thank you!
That first V3 is mad scary, nice one!
Haha agreed, thanks!!
Awesome work keep it up! It was cool to see a range of boulder difficulties in the video, it made it seem more true to the actual experience instead of highlighting all hard boulders.
Thank you! I appreciate that, I totally agree that showing a range of grades is a positive thing. Not everyone is climbing V8 but the easier lines are still fun and challenging for those climbing them (aka me lol)
@@senditsabrina Same lol
Where are these Boulders?
The Blender Boulders are in Greenport with access through the Audubon Society
Love your videos ❤️ Keep posting please
@@farisag9669 Thank you so much! I definitely will (:
This video is so cool! Keep it up, psyched to check out Long Island soon!
Thank you so much!!
gnarly
Loved this Sabrina! That rock looks so sharp and interesting - what kind is it? Looks like such beautiful location for bouldering. 🤩
Thank you so much! The rock at East Marion is granitic gneiss. One of the most beautiful spots on LI for sure 😍
Nice! I had plans for the Red in May, but maybe in the fall🤷🏼♀️
Thank you! I feel that, was hoping for Squamish in June but it’ll have to be some other time
Woah, that rock looks incredible! I really want to visit Albarracin in Northern Spain after the lockdown for a big bouldering trip. :)
It was amazing! So different compared to anything in the North East. Albarracin looks incredible, I'd love to climb in another country sometime soon
Love this, Sabrina~! Can't wait to see more of your videos. :)
Thank you Mikey!!
Great video! This was like a giant psych bomb, which is definitely needed when in quarantine. It can be hard to stay psyched for climbing nowadays but this helped, thanks!
Thanks so much!! Glad I could help lift the quarantine slump a bit. We’ll all get back out there soon enough hopefully
The coolest Trad Dad! Love seeing you continue to grow in this sport. You are incredible!!
thank you!! love ya
I got started climbing when my mom invited me to our local bouldering gym. There was something that kept me coming back, and once I got my first V2/3, I absolutely fell in love with the sport. I want to climb forever and it’s truly my passion in life. I hope to be a professional rock climber one day (although that might sound far fetched), climbing means so much to me. Thanks for sharing your story, I love your content!
Thanks so much, that's awesome! Something so cool about climbing is that any person can take it as far as they want to go, and become as strong as they can and climb the same routes they've seen their heroes do. Totally believe in you \m/
Send It Sabrina Your support is inspiring!
I appreciate this video! Always happy to hear what climbing is for a climber, I'm from Palestine climbing is a new sport here ,Only one small bouldering gym,Some amazing outdoor crags , Climbing was the best way to escape living surrounded by aparthied walls and a life under occupation, Trying my best to spread this beautiful sport around as much as possible, Can't wait to see more about your journey.
That's amazing! I'm so glad climbing can be a positive outlet for you in such difficult circumstances, and that you're helping bring it to others. Seriously inspiring!
Woo! go POP pilates!
where it all began
It would be amazing if you do a video introducing who you are , And how you started climbing and stuff, Great Video 😁
Thanks so much! And great suggestion, I’ll definitely do that!
oooh 4x4s are so tough! my endurance is pretty bad, so i think i’ve gotta work on these a bunch this year :-) also loved the side-by-side! it’s cool to see the differences in beta after a couple of iterations of the same climb :-)
Thank you! 4x4s are definitely killer. But you feel like you got such a good workout after so it’s totally worth the pain haha
