yup we "discard" starter so that there is equal amounts of starter (or less) as what you are feeding (flour water). if you put it near the oven/crock pot/or coffee maker can help, cuz as you have stated the yeast thrives in a warmer climate. thank you for watching. maybe try putting a lil less water when feeding, cuz it goes on weight not volume when adding equal amounts

they say it provides a release for the steam/air. it makes it look better and cook more evenly

we found that the apple with the mother doesnt work as good for us either. it gets gummed up and seals the screen somewhat. the pure white stuff works okay for us though. but we are find out that even more important than the vinegar is rinsing em off a bunch of times. people say twice a day, but i think they need at least three. every 6-8 hours and weve had success every time. we started out usin purified water, but then we realized tap works jus fine

how many times do you rinse a day? that would be my first suspect. also, when we first started, we were using a 3-4 inch deep tupperware to set the jars in to drain. it didnt seem to have enough airflow to the lids and stuff was a lil stinky. i switched to a cake pan lid thats only one inch deep and tapered on the sides. its been much better since. or maybe a fan circulating the air would be good, but maybe not directly on them or they may attract dust lol. who knows what is the best. plus everything kinda changes with humidity and temperature too. hotter and more humid needs better airflow, more water rinses and they will sprout way faster. but the cool non humid conditions alow for less rinsing and air flow, but they grow slower. hopefully somethin here helps ya. lemmie know if ya are wonderin bout somethin else.

bro, i believe it for sure. the other day we saw one eatin a grasshopper so big that it could barely fly with it in its mouth. so it couldnt really get away from us and we got up close and watched it eat the thing. it was crazy man. i had no idea they were so predatory lol

you nailed it bro. ezekiels new fav dish is ramen. dude puts a couple soft boiled eggs in there even lol. im all like bro, i didnt know you knew how to make those, i never even had a soft boiled egg til this 14 year old kid was nice enough to make one for me lol

its tough to beat the ones from where we grew up though, chicago style: tomato slices, onion, pickles, mustard, and maybe a lil seasoning of some kind. some do celery salt. but that makes it too salty for us. garlic powder is pretty nice though or even black pepper, maybe cayenne.

what a great way to put it. right before this happened, we were thankin God Almighty for all the little miracles around us. then this bunny just ran outta da woods to say whats up lol

and we are pretty sure its the same exact one that came close to us last year, because of the red spot on his head, where a humans hair would be. we called him/her ginger lol
