But Halle Bailey was the first person to come to Brandy's mind in the moment. And Brandy didn't want to spend too much time on the question. No, Halle & Brandy don't look exactly alike. But they do have similar figures. And for the record, Halle Bailey ain't lightskinned & has never been lightskinned. Just look at Grownish as an example. Yara Shahidi is lightskinned. Halle Bailey & her sister Chloe aren't. Anyway, Halle Bailey could definitely play Brandy if she's the best actress for the role. Just a look Angela Bassett & Laurence Fishburne. They looked nothing like Tina & Ike Turner. But they both bodied those roles. And as far as Halle playing Janet Jackson, she could play both Brandy & Janet Jackson in biopics. Before Chadwick Boseman passed away he played Jackie Robinson, and Marshall, & James Brown in their biopics. And he was great in all 3 movies.
