Gosh, we hope so too! We saw no obvious problems during our recent cruise so we hope it's nothing too concerning! Hopefully it's a quick fix and not a sign of problems to come with this class of ship.

We were just on Icon (sailed from September 7th-14th) and noticed no maintenance issues. The only current sailing affected by Royal Caribbean’s reported maintenance problems is the September 28th sailing.

We definitely recommend trying Icon if you can. Even if it’s just for 7 nights, it was totally worth it.

So, the excursion gave us five hours in Rome - we probably arrived to Rome in the morning around 9am-ish. With the hop-on-hop-off bus, it maybe took 25-ish minutes to get the Colosseum. The traffic in Rome can be really intense sometimes, so it really depends on that factor.

The earliest boarding time we've ever seen and ever gotten was 10:30am. It's possible it is earlier if you get The Key or have booked a suite stateroom. Usually staterooms are not available until 1pm or 2pm. If you want to immediately get in to your stateroom after you board, you'd probably be better off selecting a later boarding time in the afternoon right when staterooms are open. Lots of people board with their luggage and just carry it with them all morning while they wait for their rooms to open so that's a valid option as well. We've never experienced any lost luggage boarding a cruise ship, but we definitely don't have as much experience as you have since we've only done 7 cruises total. Hope that helps!

We probably boarded a little bit early this time, but not by too much since it was the first boarding time available. I would recommend arriving at least 30 minutes prior to your boarding time and you'll most likely be able to board a bit early. They're really good at the quick turn-around!

I LOVE this question!! Mine (Lauren) is a venti hot chocolate with 9 pumps of mocha - makes for a very chocolate-y treat. Devon loves a venti iced peach green tea lemonade. Neither of us are big fans of coffee so we just enjoy their other offerings! :)

That's a very good point! Our comments are definitely only relevant to what we experienced on our cruise at the end of June and beginning of July.

Yep! At multiple points throughout the video you can see large bowls of water next to the dogs. Panting isn’t necessarily a sign of exhaustion in dogs, as they don’t sweat like humans do. These dogs are well cared for and loved by the people here.

They definitely got water! You can see when we arrive and first meet the dogs that they are surrounded by water bowls and they are again when the ride is finished. There's also a break partway through the ride where they stop to give the dogs a break. These dogs are not the same ones giving rides all day long to guests - they change out the dogs frequently. The dogs are treated very well - getting fed the best food, tons of play time mixed with their work, and so much love from the staff and visitors. These rides given to tourists are part of their exercise and training for their real job of pulling mushers. It's a very reputable business you can search up online. Also, panting in dogs doesn't just represent thirst. It's how they sweat. And it can also denote excitement and a release of energy to calm themselves down when they get excited.

We highly recommend a med cruise! We had an absolute blast visiting so many different places in such a short amount of time. :) The parade was fun - such a unique idea for a cruise ship. We go on Allure soon as well! In May! Let us know what you think when you get back - we're so excited to go!

Fair enough! Some of the time we were genuinely messing about in calling it a boat and other times we just plum forgot! We certainly learned a lot with our first cruise. :)

Thanks so much! You can call Housekeeping from your stateroom phone or let your stateroom attendant know when you see them. Your stateroom attendant tries to make contact with you on the first day to ask if you need anything so hopefully they're easy to find. They're so amazing and can usually get it done before you go to bed that night! Hope you have an amazing time on Symphony! It was one of our favorites so far!
