This is a short video of when I got to travel to the Philippines. Most of the footage is taken at Village of Hope in Bohol Philippines. Family day is where all the kids from the 4 homes come together to play games. Usually this is done outside, but because of the rain, we played games in home 2. The beauty pageant went over great with the kids! It was a definitely a trip to remember. If you hav...
wheres all the rust lmao
Great video bud. I'm doing the same project on my 2000 F150 XLT RWD. This gave me the confidence to do it.
I've got a feeling this is going to take me 12 hours, and looks like you done it in half an hour lol.
@@Lethalrain221 it took me a few hours I'd guess, the editing makes it look quick. Good luck with your work!

How big is your lift spindle and springs ?
The truck had a 6" lift on it
Im wondering if I should replace the bushings on them. Your lower control arms look fine why replace them?
From what I remember it was because the whole lower control arm was basically the same cost as the bushings alone. So getting the whole control arm with the bushing already installed was just easier for almost the same cost.
Thanks for this very informative video. You saved me a lot of time!
Thanks, didn’t know I would be doing this service until I got attached to my truck, hopefully it won’t be a struggle, especially since the parts are now over 20 years old
It’s possible to safely remove the spring without compressors (which I do not use and don’t trust). You have to raise the truck higher, then support the lower arm with a jack of its own to simulate ride height. Then take off the shock and disconnect everything from the lower arm (which you’re replacing anyway). Then slowly lower the jack that’s holding up the lower arm, and the spring will release tension all the way down to zero. The reverse procedure is how they’re installed at the factory. Not with spring compressors, which are only needed if you’re leaving the lower arm connected (which would prevent it from dropping all the way down).
Great job! This helped me out a lot
Great step by step. Thanks for not deleting the lil negatives... like the to short socket, hitting with hammer etc. Those are the things that happen and are nice to know so that the job is FUN and not a nightmare. (yeah right)
Awesome thanks,
Wow I can’t believe you got it all. Apart, most videos the guy would have used half a can of WD 40 by now
stopped video as soon as he started saying "go ahead " every second word .
This is going to be my first time changing out lower control arm I learned a lot thanks
Great job Steve, this video helped me alot , and now I'm following you again thanks
You need to do more videos if this is your first one because you explained in detail, great job man!....
Great video! I'm about to do this exact procedure and needed some guidance. The instructions were concise and the video was to the point. Thanks for making it.
I LOVE IT MY MAN THAT'S THE SAME JOB I GONNA DO TOMORROW😍
Very good video thanks
Hello. I just want to say thanks I really enjoy your videos you make things so smooth man. Irene Berkeley in the Bay area I was wondering where you at if you're nearby man I got a project car that I need to get done I wouldn't even mind to pay you to help me to do it man let me know I appreciate it I just wondering where you located and if you got time to mess around with my 66 Mercedes I like your attitude man
Great show Steve, one thing my son told me was, before you Tear apart your own vehicle you can go to a U pull it junkyard, pay three bucks to get in, take your tools in there find a vehicle like yours and take it apart just leave everything lay on the ground and walk away, cost you three or four bucks now you know how to do it.
Great video, getting it done with very few tools, props to you man. Thanks for the help.
Gracias Steve! Great video
Interesting that there are cam washer's on upper control arms,I didn't know this probably because other videos failed to mention. Thanks
Where did you get your parts also do you have a lift or is it stock
I bought my parts through rockauto and my truck had a 6" lift
@@white_ostrich okay cool. I need to do my upper ball joints soon but want to get a lift or at least a level kit
Did the lower control arm come with grease fittings
Yes, there is a zerk fitting that goes on the ball joint that was included

Thank you so much, very good instructor.
You're very welcome. Glad it helped you
Great video. Getting ready to do this on my 1999.
Wishing you the best of luck on your project!
Very well-made video excellent presentation many thanks
You're welcome!
This is the only video that showed the whole process for the lower control arm for the 2WD models on all of UA-cam. Thanks a million fam!
Glad it helped you! Hope everything worked out ok for you
I agree, the whole process 2wd...now I have a list of all the special tools I'll have to borrow from my local parts store.
2002 f150 original owner. I did shocks first.. Had mechanic replace all of front end.. in/out tie rods, center link everything but lower arms. Fixed 80% of issues but still having something loose rattling over bumps RF tire. No phone call today for estimate, wife/secretary said it's not the wheel bearings..that he's still looking. I'm wondering what it might be..
Are there any toque specifications for the shock absorber at the bottom of the control arm studs and the top of the strut tower, I’m working on a 2002 f150 and want to make sure the bushings are pressed properly and so the bottom of the strut doesn’t come off.
Thank you.
Hard to find a 2wd vid big help thanks
You don't need. Fork. If you just hit the side of the spindle where the ball joint goes through with the hammer it will let loose. That goes for all ball joints including tie rod ends. Been doing it for 20ys
Thanks much sr
Thank you Lord for m leading me to this video and you sir are a life saver! Thank you for your wonderful help! May God bless you and your children with many years to your lives.
You’re not that guy pal
Are you?
Thanks for sharing this with me. I've got a 2003 F-150 she needs shocks as well, as the upper and lower control arm assembly. It's going to be a month before I can afford to get all of the parts. I'm on SSDI and SSI.
