I'm retired and living the good life traveling the US in my 2018 Aliner Expedition. My goal is to visit as many National Park properties as I can. I hope to someday post slideshows of my travels that I will narrate.
Closing my Aliner in less than 2 minutes!
A little time lapse of my Aliner when I closed it to start this year's snowbird trip! I'm starting my trip with a few weeks dash into New England to visit some friends, ship mates from my Navy days and relatives. I will stop back at my home base in PA for a week and a half before heading to Arizona.

Starlink Satellites & International Space Station July 8 2024

I set up my Nikon D 5600 around midnight with a wide angle lens to shoot the sky because the space station was coming over. I was not aware that I would pick up the Starlink satellites, that was just a bonus. There are lots of airplanes and other satellites in the video also. I hope you enjoy it!

2023 was a good year for me. I wish my family , friends, shipmates and everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year? I used Gene Autry's version of Here Comes Santa Claus because as a very young child we had the 78 RPM record of it and I used to play it constantly when I was three or four years old.

55 Transformer Troubles

on Monday July 17th, the transformer in the front yard shorted. West Penn Power had to replace our transformer. I shot this little time lapse video of the process. all in all it only took about 30 minutes once they got the truck set up until we had power again. Love you showed your pre-trip inspection . Only thing I missed was your wonderful voice. But the laugh at the end made missing you all better.

I have truly enjoyed it and am barking on a two and a half week tour now for New England from Pennsylvania. To return for 2 weeks and then be gone until June next year. I am full-time and spend 8 to 10 months per year over the winter snowbirding out west. Keep watching my videos, they chronicle my adventures. I have a lot of content that I hope to publish soon. Priorities! 😉😁

Thanks for showing the light change. At a 93% percent totality area, near Hanover, PA, the light only changed to a cloudy day type lighting. We were lucky to have fairly clear skies during the event. I thought it would change more in our location. Really enjoyed your time lapse photography.
Very neat perspective of showing how the light changed so much. Now if only Sasnak didn’t forget to check the color of those T-Shirts hanging up 😂

Did this Aliner inspire you to add gas springs both ways on each of the four corners?
I went through the procedures and follow them loosely, I was afraid to drill that first hole. When I started, I had gas springs that were too short and not enough pressure. I increased the length one "size" and proceeded to increase the strength of gas springs. I finally settled at 50 pounds on all four corners. It worked good at the top of the stroke but was still very heavy at the bottom. So I hooked the 100 lb corners back up and it is neutral all the way.
It looks like you added four more gas springs since making this UA-cam. Did they help? What protects against uplift wind forces on the top of the Dormers. I haven't studied that issue. The gas springs can be destroyed and fail to compress if they are overextended.

I would have to be handling my phone while driving, which is a possibility but dangerous for and old phart like me. LoL
no worries, i know some phone mounts have a roatate feature, but maybe not on a windshield mount, would need a dash mount@@eugenebreindel good video for sure
Were you camped in a site with electricity? To plug in your electric heater?
I did plug in. The overnight low was something in the upper teens.
