    I always watch your go videos and it's so weird and fun to hear your normal commentary wording when playing chess! I will say that at just like in Go the review afterwards is pretty important too! Like @ 1:55, you could fork the knight and bishop with e5

    You where mistaken when you don't kill rook with bishop..

  • @oliaur3217
    @oliaur3217 2 місяці тому

    33.40 the move was Bc1 and the only move for white is to move to b4 and then you fork the rooks with the knight (Na6). Anyway great video. Keep improving and maybe you will get a title someday. One thing you need to look for is if there are any checks, not just a check you can do but your opponent as well. I would recommend doing puzzles since its a great way to improve your tactical skills and calculation ability. Best of luck!

    Should have done a long castle cause white bishop is off the board

  • @JohnGreen-th7ck
    @JohnGreen-th7ck 2 місяці тому

    Moving your bishop up the board and then capturing the white bishop on its starting square just develops the white rook. It is almost as bad as wasting a move in baduk.

    oh knight to G6 was the check mate. More chess problems are needed to improve the reading. i guess from 1200 and up more hard work is needed to improve. anyway nice game, beat a strong opponent.

    Hi, Doctor! I play chess casually, but I think it have a very different concept of strategy than baduk. In chess, the activity of peaces is much more important than the material balance. So, usually we try to develop as faster as possible and, only when we are in middle game we try to attack the king or win material. Btw, the reading skill is very important as well as baduk

  • @dauraktv
    @dauraktv 2 роки тому

    Imagine someone trying to win on time in baduk. It would be very disrespectful, playing random moves. I feel a lot of bad culture has been brought to baduk in the USA from chess players.

  • @dauraktv
    @dauraktv 2 роки тому

    Bishop and knight are about the same, but bishops are worth a little more in the end and knights are worth a little more in the beginning

  • @garymcivor7696
    @garymcivor7696 2 роки тому

    The bishop trade was good because its his good bishop for your bad bishop. Your bishop was "bad" because center pawns were on white squares and thats also the reason his was the good bishop

    Coming from baduk, nice to see your journey through chess. I also play chess as a break from go. I feel it supports through working different " brain muscles"
