I noticed at 12:42 one of your locating tabs right above that clip is broken off, the grille I want to put in has these same tabs broken off both on the passenger side, drivers side is fine. Will this effect stability of the grill once installed? I don't want anything loose lol.

Yeaaa I tried to take off my 2022 lens off and it was too hard. I felt I was gonna destroy it.

Followed the instructions but the 2023 xl mirrors with the notch in the corner for blind spot is too fragile broke the passenger side because its so thin cost us 200 because i bought the drivers side as well. Guessing it will shatter too

Does the camera and washer mount to the grill or the emblem? and did you have to recalibrate/realign your camera after install?

When you reinstall the grille do you need to re-calibrate, the front sensor and the camera?

Having the hardest time putting on that trim/valance piece back on. It’s driving me insane. The ends are not lining up well at all.

Great info thanks I just broke my mirror on my 23 Lightning backing into the garage the replacement mirror comes with paint to match caps since the front was broken I was able to transfer my old ones over to the new mirror.

I just pulled mine off and I used tape and pry tools also but I think using a microfiber towel under the plastic pry tool is all you need.

The little square trim piece you mention, does that have a part number or anything on it? Mine broke off my truck.

Question…the camera/fluid wires on mine are visible through the grill from the front of the truck. Is is supposed to be that way? I don’t like the look. Is there a way to run them behind something so they’re not visible?

By far the best how to video. There is a slot to put the screwdriver in when prying and it’s sounds so bad when it pops loose. Passenger side was a little tougher to get off but make sure the screwdriver is in that slot. When back together all worked as before. Thanks.

Thanks Chris for the video. I am researching how to remove the mirror to run the cables for a side camera. This helped alot. Now i have to find one for the door panel to get the wires from the mirror to the headliner.

Use the motor to move the glass to the inner/upper position. When you push on the glass by hand you actually forcing the plastic gears in the motors to jump. It is as harmful as it sounds.
