A little late. But nice garden!
@@lawsofgardening9480 thanks, and yeah, I'm a bit of a procrastinator. 😅
Could you zip tie hardware cloth across the top?
@@KimberlyGingrich I don't think so. I would have also needed supports of some sort to hold it up in the middle and then would need to remove parts daily to change food/water and add pine shavings to cover droppings. If it were possible, it wouldn't be practical.
This makes me wish I had my own garden and coop! Love this

look at good you tube tutorial on how to use,its a fantastic machine in hands of good oppertor, engine briggs snd stratton
@@mechanics4all405 I think I was getting a handle on it by the end, but no harm learning more with a tutorial. It's a Sears Craftsman Roto-Spader.
you shd not have to struggle, looks like rear foot bar missing or not adjusted, dont let dig in,or it will bury itself, you seem to be encouraging dig in,i think rear wheels to high or shd be off
@@mechanics4all405 the wheels were actually dry rotted and started falling apart. I already have replacements before I use it again. Thanks for all the tips!
@@preschoolhomestead once you get in tune, you will come to love that machine, always have it tilling so its coming up not digging in,did you check you can still get every part of that machine new on internet
@@mechanics4all405 I haven't, but I'll check if it starts having more trouble.
look on internet, those engines are bullet proof, all spares still available
@@mechanics4all405 I think my repair guy was talking about finding a replacement engine, not the whole unit. That's definitely the route I would go.
I love listening to the birds! Nature's soundtrack.
Well if I had waited until the video started before I posted my comment I would have my answer. You filmed that in April I see I am so impressed with your talents
@@M.L.E.85 Thanks!
Emily, in your thumbnail you are wearing a hat. Is it really cold enough oh how wonderful if that is true!

They come in bushes? Mine have always been briars.
We just call them all bushes where I'm from.
nice job! Can you make more planting videos and other gardening videos?
Absolutely! I'm going to be doing a lot of that.
Do I foresee raspberry jam in the future?
I sure hope so! Realistically, we probably won't have enough for more than fresh eating for a few years.
🤗
My turkeys are absolutely enthralled by your video, Emily. Pilgrim especially liked the part with River in it.
That's awesome! 😂
Just curious, wont those lights get to hot and melt that fencing or cause a fire?
No they're LED. I unscrewed one in the video with my bare hand that had been on for quite a while. It was not even warm. That would be a concern if it was a different kind of bulb. Thanks for the question and concern!
My favorite sandwich bread recipe is from Noreen's Kitchen. It's easy and it is the most store bought texture and taste. Give her a try.
Thanks, I'll check it out!
I tried that recipe and it was great! Thanks again!
@@preschoolhomestead I have been using it for years and I have a Pullman pan and it makes it just like store bought sandwich bread.
Hi my friend Iam1st like and comment iam1st 🇱🇰 Nice and thank for sharing
This is so amazing Emily!! Brings nostalgia from my home in Missouri. Can’t wait to see more hopefully be able to come up this summer and help you out with putting this dream together.
I can't wait for you to visit!
You amaze me with your skill set. Keep the videos coming. Your property becomes more impressive with each video❤
Thank you!
I discovered something a few years back about garlic. It freezes very well, so I peel it all up, put it in a glass jar and freeze. When I need garlic I take out a clove, let it defrost a few minutes, then grate it on a microplane grater. The garlic incorporates very well in a recipe and you never bite into a big chunk of it. Plus you always have garlic on hand if you keep it in the freezer
I really don't like chopping garlic, so this is a nice tip. Thanks!
@@preschoolhomestead I kind of figured that you didn't like chopping it because I don't like topping it myself. I don't like the smell the lingers. I don't know if you know this but to get rid of garlic or onion smell on your fingers take your hands or fingertips and run them back and forth over something stainless steel under cold running water simultaneously and it will remove the smell
i haven't tried making bread yet. i think my first attempt will be 3 ingredient beer bread.
I wish you luck!
I live in tortilla land and I am impressed! How did you learn how to make tortillas or are you self-taught? I knew a lady who used a piece of lead Plumbing pipe as her tortilla rolling pan. Most of the rolling pans for tortillas. I’ve seen are small like a piece of pipe. I don’t think I would want to use lead, however, as that could not be too healthy. I enjoyed your video!
Thank you! I'm self-taught. I found this recipe after learning I can't eat much corn and that store bought flour tortillas have corn in them. Many recipes have baking powder, which is where the corn comes in (cornstarch), so I found a baking powder free recipe.
I have never heard tell of Tijuana dip. I will have to look into that. I am so impressed with your ability to home can and home processed foods even raising your own chickens and processing them. Did you learn this from your mother or are you self-taught?
I sort of made up Tijuana dip. It was based on a crockpot recipe called "Tijuana Crockpot" that had layers that included tortillas. Soggy tortillas are not my jam! 😅 It also called for enchilada sauce, which I did not have, so I subbed tomato sauce and lots of chilli powder. We used to make it with corn as well before I learned that it makes me feel bad. I always helped my mother and grandmother can when I was young, but didn't really retain much of that. I retaught myself the last couple years. The chickens I learned on my own by watching lots of videos. Then I taught the rest of the family that was willing to help.
I'm proud of you! ❤
Thank you! ❤️
That's crazy! But good luck! I hope you have a good supply of Nutella somewhere, or it will be mutiny...
Thanks! 😅
